Who did well really ?
The 'is going to be a star' is your interpretation.
I think most of our supporters know that what we have is players that might make us a bit of money.
For players that have gone on to have decent careers:
Dwight Gayle, Craig Mackail-Smith, Romain Vincelot, Damien McCrory, Scott Griffiths and Harlee Dean have all spent time playing in the Championship.
Some of them tailed off a bit after that but only Griffiths isn't currently playing in the Football League. Vincelot is captain at Bradford and Dean was captain at Brentford before joining Birmingham.
Abu Ogogo is playing regularly in League 1.
There's also Matt Ritchie and Marlon Pack that were only with us on loan but have done pretty well for themselves.
The important bit has always been that moving on players gives the club an income to help keep it going. Most of those above got us a pretty decent return, and with the fees for Dominic Green, Paul Benson, Danny Green, Tresor Kandol, Jody Jones and probably a few others we've done pretty well.

Jodi Jones is doing really well at Coventry apparently. Popular opinion is that he's the best player in League 2. There's just as much pleasure in watching a former Dagger develop than making money from it.

Only had a few games for us in 09/10 but David Button has gone on to have a decent Champ career as well, even if his haircut is dodge.
One I always enjoy - even though he hasn't had a decent career really - is Josh Parker having a stint with Red Star Belgrade. See also Victor Palsson (played once v Orient in the FA Cup on loan from Liverpool if memory serves) clocking up a few games for New York Red Bulls.

Jonathan Bond is another loan goalie who had a few games with us and has stayed in league football, only knocked out the Watford team when they signed Huerlo Gomez i think. Medy Elito did alright in Holland and has managed to play quite a few games for Cambridge now, I liked Medy but blew so hot and cold at times.

Someone who has done really well since leaving the Daggers is Paul Gothard.
He is the goalkeeping coach for the New Zealand National Team.
