So who are you then Brian Clough.Grimsweeper wrote:So basically you'll just blindly back anyone who is manager?
Regardless of how much of useless clown they prove to be?
So, about as educated and informed as one of Aunties score predictions then?
Sorry Merge!
Football is all about opinions, don't think I have ever intentionally been offensive to anybody who has a different view to mine.
One thing for certain yours and mine opinion as to who is the Manager at Dagenham and Redbridge is at any given time isultimately something we will ever be asked to express a view on by those who run the Club,
So in that aspect if you want your Club not to fail yes I would blindly support whoever was in charge because I am not as arrogant as some to even beleive that my view will ever mean anything to anybody who makes such decisions.
Don't think that however should stop me expressing a view on how I see things. Yes I have voiced views at certain times but never called for anybody to be sacked.

Apology accepted. Just remember I have been right THREE times, twice when I predicted we would win 6-0 and the only other time when I predicted we would beat Halifax 2-1. I predict with my heart, not my head.Grimsweeper wrote:So basically you'll just blindly back anyone who is manager?

I'm with Alan on this. I reported Steve Thompson over banner gate. Those on the board need to be aware of every incident. As mentioned above he is an employee.
Also worth mentioning here, that during a few discussions over the past couple of weeks it has become obvious to me that at least one board member reads this forum.

Whatever side of the fence you sat on in relation to the last Manager it rathe does illustrate my point that the views of the Supporter are irrelevant to those in charge.
Firstly he would never have been retained in May and secondly he would not have lasted last Christmas or New year and certainly not up to Christmas this year if the view of supporters was ever a
As for making your views known to the Board this incident was meant to have occurred in front of the Chairman .
Think we have a classic case here of what is known as the tail wagging the dog.

They may know what he is like but until they receive complaints from supporters maybe they cannot take any action.

The chairman or even Steve Thompson himself.
For example, when I complained about his behaviour over banner gate, he passed the complaint to someone else to deal with. in my case it was Tony Payne and Dave Bennett.

ref your first post in this thread.
If he is an employee of this Club then he has to be accountable for his behaviour.
Now none of us knows what went on that caused this Cissy fit but this is not the first time allegations have been made about his conduct and language towards what in all sense and purposes is the Customer.
Now without knowing all the facts it's hard to make judgement but I think it is fair to assume that these situation arise so often it can't always be the fault of shall we say the Customer.
If I behaved in my workplace in a continued manner then at some time I would be expected to be asked to explain my behaviour, any reasonable Person would I am certain feel the same. This would even be more the case of this was done in front of my Superiors which has now occurred on more then one occasion.
It's disappointing that for one fan a memorable day was tarnished by a confrontation for expressing a view about a product that he has loyally supported.
Now there is Anger Management Courses availiable and I would suggest that the Board at Dagenham and Redbridge should consider if one of their Senior employees , if that us what he is , may need putting through such a process because this appears to be occurring far to often.

Just being devils advocate here.......
This incident.....is it how it says above ? Totally unprovoked with no previous ?(Just asking)
Maybe just my nature but I cant ever remember resorting to name calling anyone without at least a more than fair bit of provocation.
The initial post on here dosent give us any indication of facial expression tone or volume at the time.Id have to be pretty pissed off to instruct someone to ****** off and then Id also have to take into account the likelihood of getting a dig off the offended person my advice was aimed at.In other words Thommo don't look like no cage fighter or bar room brawler and having met and spoke to him I do find this very out of character. Not to say it didn't happen but you may understand my shock.

I am Thommo's biggest fan on here (so would agree with your post Arnu), although I am also a good friend of Rampant Duke and he is certainly one of the more reasoned and articulate Daggers fans I know and not the sort to be engaged in any aggressive or abusive conversations.
I think (and RD may put me wrong) this was probably a case of people getting wrong end of stick at end of a tired and emotional day, rather than either party meaning anything malicious (I could be wrong though).
