He tries with the ball. He doesn't try without it. Exactly why people didn't like having Medy around, but he won people over by putting his foot in and making tackles on his last season. Chambers should have a go at that...

He's as frustrating as hell because he gets into the positions and often makes the wrong decisions, but whenever I've seen him play I can't really fault his lack of effort. Not suggesting you do - but I never understand why people boo players who are clearly giving 100% for the team regardless of their ability.
I never once said that Chambers doesn't try? But both he and yuseff do when yuseff is the only one of the two with any sort of end product.
Funny that, seeing as Chambers scored or assisted all of our 8 goals in a 4 game period playing in his favoured position and Yusuff is playing in the Ryman Premier. You clearly didn't see him when he came on v Yeovil, the kid could hardly move. Now, I like him but he clearly hasn't got what it takes to be a professional footballer unfortunately. So easy for you to say "we need young hungry players" blah blah blah, clearly just trying to satisfy the majority of older fans views. But yeah, proper disgrace Yusuff is not playing.

'Clearly just trying to satisfy older fans views'. What the ****** are you talking about? I think you'll find I was here when we had youngsters like gayle etc being found. So its therefore an opinion of mine. Is that ok with you?

And to nick, I can, after reading what I said, see why it looks like that. I actually meant that he has more of a goal threat or any real likelihood of an end product than with chambers.

If you are not being kind , Coward is the best way to describe him.
You were equally venomous about Obrien last season. You were wrong then too.
Chambers aint Pele but hes a tryer, that alone, for all you "little club mentality pub team when we all got in the bath with the players wasnt it great in the league 20 leagues below now brigade nostalgia driven daggers" surely must be a positive.
Wrong was I ? Maybe harsh and a little critical and expected more . The lad is much better this season and I tip my hat to him.

Would you be so easy to forgive the goals at Yotk and Yeovil and Luton if they were sitters missed by your old mate Tomlin . Don't think you would have been and would be full of it

I have a lot of time for the guy when he's playing through the middle... but the comments backing up Chambers on here from this season only confirm even more how far we have dropped from last year.

Tomlin was a good player not suited to Jonny hoofballs philosophy. You have seen more decent appearances with Chambers than you ever saw with Tomlin for us.

To say you were a little harsh on Obrien is a bit economical with the truth. You were downright horrible to him no other description for it.My Tomlin rants were at least based in the fact I knew he was a good player as proven when he got an immediate chance to stuff 2 up us v Southend that day.He just didn't fit into the system here at the time.Chambers is not as good a player as Tomlin and can be very irritating with sideways passes and not shooting when he should maybe. He has had some inspired games too.Coward is nasty Chris. The lad is trying his best, possibly out of position with McClueless and midget making him look bad.Cureton cant hit a barn door right now either.

I don't understand this bias you have against McClure either, Arnu? I'm not a fan of digging any players out unless they clearly haven't got their heart in it anyway, but why you've set your sights on him I'm not quite sure. He hasn't exactly had that much to feed off of, and his goals so far this season have given us four of our nine points in reality.

Did say Arnu there was two ways to describe him, one being not very nice.

From where I am standing mate he looks scared stiff to go and make a tackle or worse when he has the ball
that somebody is coming to clatter him. To me he simply does not have the physical atributes for this league.

Retutning to the topic of this post am I the only one who thought he was doing ok at Yeovil, he was playing out of postition but looked big and strong . Unlucky to be subbed in my opinion as it was what was going on around him that lead to the withdrawal

I Just haven't seen anything from him.Haven't seen him do anything great, haven't seen him do anything terrible, haven't seen him score a goal.Havent seen any great tackles(1 the other day maybe),has he got an assist to his name yet ?Havent seen a 50 yd precision pass but I have seen him being very anonymous.(Wedsnesday he was anonymous fact)Im conscious of Lee Wilson making a case for him a few weeks ago (I do listen and take his views quite seriously these days) and i have kept quiet on him but since been watching him closely and I still find all the above to be true. Now the positives are maybe he is a good player and does them all when he plays for Wycombe or us when we're away.At home sorry he's done zilch. Not getting service is I suppose a fair point but if you aint getting it maybe you should make your own luck. All this slating of chambers at least he gets involved.Who's been more anonymous for us than McClure ? Ever in fact ?

Don't buy that about Tomlin not suiting the style. It isn't the style that made him miss sitters, scuff his shots so they more resembled backpasses, trip over the ball or kick the corner flag!

He was no Pele either but I reckon the ****** ups were down to confidence, like Chambers in fact.Tomlin was better ball to feet not any good on the end of a Tony Roberts or Mark Arber hoof.

McClure has had a better season than Curo so far and has had less game time (I think). I admit that he's not done great at home but then who has? We haven't won a game at home so that's hardly down to just him. We're horrible at home with very little creativity and tempo. We barely have a shot on target in home matches so it's no surprise the strikers are struggling when the rest of the team are not getting the ball into good positions for them the majority of the time. However, I can't say I've been to all the away matches, but the ones I have gone to and McClure has played in, he's done alright. Away to Wycombe in particular he was superb before, wrongly in my opinion, being sent off. He's not a world beater but if he was playing in our better teams he would be an asset as he puts himself in good positions in the box time and time again. Even Wycombe fans, despite their excellent season last year, were sad to see him go as in their words he had a lot of potential and did nothing wrong whenever he played but he just kept picking up irritating injuries that stopped him getting a run in the team. A bit like Bingham prior to the 2nd half of last season.

Your acknowledgement that McClure has not been great at home is probably the point I wanted general acceptance of.He may well be great just yet to see it.
