Im still almost certain we'd of stayed up had we not sold Benson.

But anyway, I take your point about the situations not being that comparable but the scenes after that Peterborough game are a world away from how things are now...

If we just had a little chink of light to give some cause for optimism it wouldnt be so bad but right now we have nothing... nada, zilch, zero!

I genuinely can't see how we turn this around. The players have zero confidence, any time we take a lead we crumble. Of late, we've resorted to barely having a shot on target. Sigh.

Thats the sad thing Lee. Whatever way you look at things, we will need 37/38 points minimum from here to stay up, from 30 games. So that is probably 11/12 wins. I just cannot see how that group of players will get anywhere near 11 wins from the next 30 games.

I am not (on this post) saying whose fault that is, but I can't see how anyone could rightly sit here and say they honestly think we will get anywhere neat that number of wins. As you say, we have thrown away leads in a few games, and in others have hardly mustered a shot on goal.

Again, we can sit and blame who has put this Team together, but whatever the result of that debate, we have ended up with a very very poor side for this level. The best player by a mile today was a fella on loan who has hardly played in last few weeks. What does that say!!!

It is all actually very sad. My bigger thought at this moment is actually (if we get relegated) where will we be in 12 months time!!

there were a few neutrals about today. Talking to bloke who I know slightly making his first visit for 3 years he commented on the atmosphere and air of resignation about the place. All very sad. What sort of gate will we get on Saturday?

Three figures Saturday, without a doubt. Morecambe will only being a 100 and with STs having to pay, and West Ham at home, I would go with 875.

Get used to it though. We won't be getting that for half our games next season in the Conference.

Be lucky to get 875. Everyone I spoke said they won't be bothering even though it's only a Ayrton to get in. Only reason I'm going is its my last game I can make until just before Xmas.

We might win some games in the conference so a few might turn up.

It could prove to be the wrong month Mike that we had Dunne a Labadie in our midfield, that team today did enough for me to know we would have beaten Yeovil , York and not lost to either Hartlepool or Mansfield.

Despite the result at least we showed a bit of fight today, over the course of the last month it has been harder to get into Germany then it was our penalty area. It was not great today but honestly it was 200% better then Accrington last week

Still think it will be a second half of season scrap between Us ,York, Yeovil, Stevenage, Hartlepool , Newport and the team who will slide like one team does every year and would not surprise me in the least if 42 points was enough.

There Is 6 teams who are dreadful ,sadly we are amongst them but I am still convinced there is at least two worse then us .

I don't - both York and Newport look rejuvenated under new management, whilst Crawley are doing okay and on the up especially with a player of Murphy's calibre. That leaves us, Hartlepool and Stevenage but I'm not entirely convinced we're better, or much better, than those. Also, we've entertained must of those sides and not won once against any of them in the league.

Sussex, you must of been smoking something strong if you think there are two teams worse than us. We've played a lot of the teams near the bottom and managed one win in those games which was only in the JPT

We have to Improve massively there is no doubt about that if we have any chance, just I thought we looked far more with it in midfield today, then again it could not get any worse.

How anybody can come to the conclusion that York have improved since they got rid of Wilcox , they still to win and lost a six pointer at Crawley yesterd ,Lord alone knows.

Remains to be seen if I am right but there is some awful teams in this league and I doubt if they will get any better.

Those teams below us have changed managers when necessary and got the requisite bounce in results... we won't follow suit

League tables don't lie: At the point of writing, we are the very worst team in the football league - bar none

Having already played them and seen their squad and performance, I don't think we've faced many poorer sides in the whole football league than Newport this season... yet we even find ourselves below them

York, who are a few places above us have changed their manager and are looking to bring in Jackie McNamara, ex Dundee United. Newport bring in John Sheridan and get a few wins.
It's not exactly rocket science to figure out what we need to do.

For getting us to finish 9th and 14tb in the past two seasons and supporting the Manager without putting the future of our Club at risk.

Been told that we should look at Accrington as an example of what can be achieved with limited resources.
Things have gone very quiet tho about them being a shinning example since it has been revealed that this momentous acheivement has in fact created 1.2 million pounds worth of debt.

So although these People are passionate about their team it is clearly apparent they could not run a bath let alone a solvent league two football Club .
