Views from the Sieve

Came away from Stevenage Saturday and in all honesty in terms of quality the game was pretty shocking.

The pitch was absolutely Dreadful but it added to it. Remember playing Bury at the same time last season and once again the pitch was Dreadful. In both these games i can not say that I was not entertained despite the quality of the fare.

What I saw Saturday and at Bury last season was what we used to call proper football and I for one enjoyed every minute of it.

For me the tactics were most impressive.Chopping it around to suit the 'orrible pitch.Bringing in Doige and trying to do them on the break with a good old bit of hoofy.Despite his biting antics I thought Labadie gave us something too.The defending was magnificent.Maybe mr Burnett is a bit of a tactition afterall.
