Very hard to put together any meaningful highlights reel from Saturday. The goal aside, it was 89mins of needles in eyes stuff

On a side note..... just seen the awful challenge on Chambers again

First time round looked like a red. Second time round it looks like a double red! Shocking call from the ref

As a ref I saw this at the same distance as the Lino and he had no input whatsoever, leg breaker challenge. Ref and his Assistant official should be struck off.

The ref has a clear and unobstructed view of it. From all of 10 yards. Luckily he caught his raised leg. Had it of been his standing leg it would have been similar to Aaron Ramsey's injury at Stoke

As a ref you'd know that no assistant is going to have any input when the referee is closer and has an unobstructed view.

Oddly enough I didn't think it was a red and I was pretty much right behind the lineo at the time, same view. It was actually a block tackle, they both played the ball at the same time and Chambers came off worse. the Tranmere guy didn't actually catch Chambers with his boot at all, which is why he didn't really need much treatment and came back on straight away.

Having said that, he did throw himslf in and could have been done for being reckless and out of control.

The lino did not have an obstructed view, the ref did as he was block by chambers.

You might want to have a look at the picture in this thread. The ref has a clear view of it.
If he didn't, he wouldn't have been able to give the foul.

I am looking at it the ref is obstructed by chambers in terms of how the tranny went in, the lino had a much better view of the two footed lunged and should have assited the ref.

The ref is looking straight at it. The assistant wouldn't have added anything other than saying he thought it was worse than the ref did (if he even did).
I'm with Mike in that it wasn't anything like as being made out. But then our supporters howled about Batt being booked for just taking one of their players out.

If there was a red it wouldn't have made the cut given our form this year...

As for the Chambers tackle, I thought it would be a red only because of the Batt decision early on... thought the ref was setting his stall out early there not to accept anything where a player lunged in... certainly not the 'leg breaker' others are commenting on from what I saw

Besides which, its a bad thing when the opposition are reduced to ten.

Ah, the old you can't argue against my opinion while I'm arguing against your opinion bullshit. Well done.

A couple of points though. You've said that the lino should be struck off, but he has acted in exactly the manner he should have done. The referee was closer and had an unobstructed view. The referee having an unobstructed view isn't a matter of opinion it's a matter of fact.
It also isn't a leg breaking challenge. Their player is in the floor with one left going up. The challenges that break legs are when a player is coming down onto the player.

And I've pointed out in the past that just because someone has an opinion of something, it doesn't mean that the opinion isn't utter crap.
