While I admit to having been worried about relegation a few weeks ago... Hartlepool tonight have shown me that the difference between us and them is miles apart... If we are in the same dividing as them next season we need to have had a complete implosion between now and May

I thought we were poor at Home to a Southport

We'll let hope all the other Bedwetters saw it.

Whatever you think about us this season one thing we have not been beaten by any of the 6 teams out of the 7 we have played in the bottom 8 taking 14 out of 18 points. The most important thing is beating teams around you.

In a disappointing season that is one very important fact . Not one I would have expected the doom merchants to highlight , but then again why would they.

It just shows you, with Warrington & Maidstone, it can happen to anybody on their day.

Not suprised after these comments post match last night
The second half was poor to a level I’ve not seen before,” admitted Murray when speaking to Pools Player afterwards.
“I thought we had done well in the first half, created some good chances on the back of some good football and probably should have had at least one more goal.
“But we struggled all the way through the second half; we’re trying to address it all the time but how can you go from the performance in the first half to that in the second? It’s unbelievable.
“We lacked ideas and effort off the ball and I haven’t got enough men or leaders out there – those are the simple facts.”

You watch how quickly that position will be filled. There will be queues of people wanting the opportunity to manage in the football league.Watch how they improve under new guidance too.

Like they did when they sacked their manager earlier this season?

Not saying there aren't a few dud managers out there. You got to be unlucky to replace the manager twice in a season and it still be shite though.

So you've found a couple of examples that really are an exception.

Are you saying Hartlepool shouldn't bother having a new manager then ?

Just like Mansfield the Club is absolutely potless and any appointment will be a cheap one.

Another reason the slagging of our board recently is uncalled for,you should see the hands both these Clubs are in.

When a manager says things like this there is only one way it can go.....

Very true... no idea why you would blame the players or the leadership in the team if you can dig the fans out instead :P
