Normally Merge I would say we've dodged a massive bullet, but compared to young he's the new Jürgen Klopp.
That said I wouldn't be that surprised if they kept him on, seeing that they gave him a 2.5 year deal in the first place!
That in itself tells you all you want to know about these people.
They've taken incompetence to a whole new level.

May just be cynicism after the end of the season, but I can't see any scenario where the Manager leaves now, if we wasn't removed within 48 hours of the final game... Only possibility would be a decent name becoming available between now and August and we go after that person.

I think Taylor gets quite a bit of unwarranted stick. He had ****** all and built a team that was favourite to go down by everyone who was anyone's reckoning. Yet he kept us up finishing way higher than anyone expected.

Now I booed him as well and it was awful to watch but us with our outrageous expectations never really appreciated it at the time.

Dunno why Dagenham didn't put him in charge when they sacked Ben. Arguably better players and definitely a better manager than Young.

Ifs, what maybes......

Taylor only kept us up when the Freund money came in, prior to that we were getting relegated. In his first full season of the Freund money he was a disaster and had us near the bottom 4, rightly remembered as being a crap manager for us.

I think Taylor originally did quite well considering the budget. A lot of managers would have had us dead and buried by the time the money arrived. The trouble came when he was able to build a "better" squad the following season and he couldn't - in fact it was dreadful and definitely not someone I'd want back at any point.

Wilkinson's signing trumps all those iffy ones. Anyway, thought Quigley was half decent given the chance as he later proved at Chesterfield.

No denying he's a very good coach, but as a manager he's dreadful. Had more clubs than Tiger Woods.
We need someone not connected with the club, no friends of friends, no old pals act.
That said first port of call should be Thompson and these other misfits. Get that right and we can start to rebuild.
With these people still in charge I'm fearful that we might just get relegated again!

I keep reading on here that Mr Thompson should be removed. Any thoughts on how that could be achieved without falling foul of the unfair dismissal legislation under employment law?

Redundancy, company restructure simple.
