Club Statement on Social Media - 250425

Apologies for my possible ignorance all, but what does the Club Statement released on Facebook in the last few minutes intend to do in terms of bringing the issues with the (short term) new investors to a close?

The club starts the statement saying they 'want to address this directly and clearly' then appear to suggest that the club does not endorse any belief that Dr Mashhour supports terrorism, was racist, or engaged in discriminatory behaviour... If this is the case (apologies if I'm reading the statement incorrectly) it doesn't appear to shed any further light on the actual reason why the club immediately removed her from her position?

Not sure what the statement does to push back on the alleged Legal action Dr Mashhour and Marwan Serry were threatening to take against the club.

All feels like a bit of a long word salad that the club has shared, whilst still limiting the Facebook page so supporters cannot comment on the statement directly.

I’m not here to stand up for the club, and I’m sure anyone on here would see from my posts what I think of Hall and these terrorist c**** from Egypt. But this is not a statement from the club in reality. The second paragraph is “Dr” Mashhour’s lawyers speaking. They must somehow have a case against us for defamation or something, I’m not a lawyer but I know a lawyer’s statement when I see one.

Comments are still turned off on social media because their Egyptian fans keep spouting racist, homophobic, pro-terrorist abuse and rape/death threats to our fans. Ironic really. But ****** them, the Egyptians are gone, their reputation is ****** in the UK no matter what a statement says, and little old Dagenham ran them out of town in a few days. Let’s just focus on somehow winning tomorrow.

Totally agree with this and we now need to move on and concentrate on getting as many points as possible to try to avoid relegation.

Obviously a statement to appease the Egyptians, funny how things turn out when due diligence isn’t followed correctly in the first place!
As for moving on from this I would like to think that the spineless twats who turned up on Easter Sunday waving palastinian flags turn up tomorrow and do it in front of people and not just their own cameras, then they will know how we feel about things before we move on.
