Looks like that “gutter level” summary of those running the club is continuing to be pretty spot on…

We don't really know the reasons behind this but nobody I imagine could have foreseen this when we signed him a few weeks ago. A great shame because he looked as though he could play a bit and could be a useful signing.

Just been on Bohemian FC's website and Parsons said the following which makes me wonder if he was promised a style of play that hasn't happened...
“I am absolutely buzzing. Bohemians is a massive club. I know from the two years I’ve had here with Waterford how incredible the fans here and the backing they give the players here at Dalymount and on the road as well, so I can’t wait to get started.
“This move feels so right for me, and I’m delighted that everything worked out in the end and that I’ve been able to sign.
“I have a great relationship with Rennie from our time together at Waterford. He is someone who knows how to get the best out of me. One-v-ones is what I love best. Dribbling with the ball, getting the team up the pitch and playing with freedom. I like to be exciting and I hope the fans will see that.
“I just can’t wait to get started now. I know everyone is really looking forward to the first game of the season. What a game to kick off the season with at the Aviva Stadium.
“It will mean everything for that to be my first game in a Bohs shirt. It will be a massive occasion and we want to build momentum from the start, so I will be doing everything I can in training between now and then to ensure I am a part of it.”

I can't begrudge Connor for moving to Bohs, the Irish season is just about to kick off , and although last season they had a poor and disappointing season they're still one of the biggest clubs in Ireland and do have a (slight) international presence, well more so compared to most Irish teams.
The League of Ireland has come on quite a fair bit in the last 5 years and now Irish teams are (relatively) successful in Europe, with Shamrock Rovers now in in the play offs for the Europa conference League.
Plus, as he said himself, he's already got a chance play at Lansdowne Rd (Aviva stadium). If he kicks on and does well he could easily find himself playing in Europe in the next few seasons.
Plus we don't necessarily know the precise circumstances, there may be family reasons as to why he's moved back to Ireland, and he appears to have a good relationship with the Bohs manager.
We got a fee for him and yes it's disappointing he left so soon, yet if the circumstances were right for him to move why stop him?
Fair play Connor and best of luck.

He looked terrible against Southend, lightweight, desperate to dive and was not up for the fight. Signing him on a free and getting a fee on paper seems good in a way. But let’s not act like this doesn’t show the circus that our club has become.
He is not going for family reasons at all, we have said we are reluctantly selling him. It wouldn’t be reluctant if he needed to go for a sick family member. He has come here, hasn’t liked what he’s seen and forced his way out. Barely even 90 mins of league football out of him since announcing him almost 2 months ago. We should have got someone in who was serious about this club, but the muppet that is James King had to sign his former client and once again it was a big pile of crap.

You are critical of the club yet you do not know anything more than the rest of us but want to jump on them at every opportunity.

You’re right I don’t know more than anyone else. Luckily I don’t need to because Lewis Young said in his pregame interview with fans last night that Parsons did not want to be here anymore and that’s why he left. If you took your head out that sand for a moment, stopped crying at people rightfully being fed up with the state of the club, you might realise this stuff.

"He doesn't want to be here" is obvious, my point is without knowing all the facts why criticise the club?

A cynical person might think he played us to get fit for the Irish season.

Without knowing the facts? The facts are:
- He was a former client of James King. That’s a fact.
- He signed for us in December and after 7 weeks, 2 league appearances and 0 starts he left. Thats a fact.
- The manager said he doesn’t want to be here anymore. That’s a fact.
One of two things have happened here. We signed another dud because he’s the SD’s ex-client and he wasn’t good enough and wanted out. Or we signed a player whose heart was not in this club and wanted out the moment things got tough. Either way, it’s on us for signing him. How can you not see that?

He was signed in December but could not play till January. If he possibly wasn't any good anyway as you say, it seems all the more surprising that Bohemians have paid a fee for him. Also don't know the level of Irish league but would imagine got to be at least on par with our league or most likely better.

Whatever way it’s looked out and for whatever it’s embarrassing for the club, why would a future player sign when someone has last a month. It’s just one embarrassing scenario after the other with these new owners, now that is fact.

One thing I feel is that we are currently having a clear out and doing things on the cheap as we sadly are expecting to be relegated.
Our club is currently dying on and off the pitch. I have little enjoyment of watching us. Even when we were getting beaten week in and week out in L1/L2 the journey with the club was fun. I felt a part of something, and I didn't feel such despair as I do now.
I look around and feel little attachment to the club anymore and, like others, I have a season ticket but have probably missed more games than I have seen at home.
The whole approach by the club at the moment feels chaotic, as though no one has a clear vision or what they want the club to be like. At least with our previous Americans they put some pizazz into the club for a while. We feel like a ship, lost at sea and sinking fast.
