Club’s Christmas Message

I caught up with the club’s Christmas message. I don’t know what happened at Wealdstone aside from the result. I haven’t been much on social media either. But I felt this part of Daniel Hill’s statement a little like the north korean management of old, threatening to take action against supporters for ‘posts made online’, particularly when made at the point of wishing us a merry Christmas.
I hope I am wrong about this. Our fan base is sadly dying and not being replaced. The club must not alienate its existing fan base.

Did anyone witness these events or have any comment to make?

Football is all about opinions and we all differ. That is what is good about the game. What is not so good is the way a very small minority of our supporters have been expressing their opinions recently. It is not right to verbally abuse any of the players, or staff, either in person or online. It is not acceptable, and the club will take action against any individual, or individuals, who step over the line.

Yeah some fans chanted ‘James King, you’re a *****’ like every five minutes on Saturday. Obviously, the expression ‘step over the line’ is subjective but yeah that’s what happened. I can see why they’re annoyed

Couldn't make the game yeaterday and listened on Mixlr.
After the final whistle It was mentioned that Ryal Hill went over to
the Sieve and engadged in a "conversation" with fans. he was then joined
by other players, before a steward intervened.

Thanks for explaining. I’m still not sure why you would criticise and threaten to take action against fans in a Christmas message though.
Bah humbug!!

The thing with owners especially new owners is they don't understand the fans passion for their clubs.
No matter how big or how small every fan wants to be successful on the pitch.
Whether you attract 1500 or 50k it's the same, Passion's run high and we've been in limbo for a long time on and off the pitch.
We've nearly folded, we've had a series of mediocre managers, and stacks of players in a never ending dreary merry-go-round. One constant still remains overseeing it all and anyone whose supported this club for any length of time knows who that is.
Personally I think our fans have been pretty well behaved, and shown a great deal of patience amidst all the turmoil at the club.
Fans are not interested in the latest community projects, sponsorship deals blah blah blah, they're only interested on what goes on during a match and that's that, they have every right to voice an opinion ( so long as it's a non violent one) if they think the teams not performing and let's be honest, this team and it's staff haven't been performing for a long long time.
Perhaps next time there's a supporters forum some real questions need to be asked as opposed to the usual well scripted jobs worth garbage that allow people to hide behind.
