I couldn't get to game because of flu but listened to commentary. It sounded a poor game but we played a team high in the league and managed to get a win. What was especially pleasing was the fact that we had so many players missing and were still able to carve out the three points along with a clean sheet.
Well done Daggers.

Wasn’t a dull game but Rochdale played the better football, but there’s no glory in passing it around well if you’re shit up front, our goal was against the run of play but despite the reffs best effort we still saw the game out.

A win and clean sheet from an ugly game we so often end up the other side of. Dug deep while taking our chance after a rapid breakaway from front to back, started by Phippsy who epitomised the endeavour.

Fantastic win considering all the players we currently have out injured, hopefully we can kick on now.

Funny sort of game..Dale played us off the park first half but were crap at finishing. Second half we weren't much better but nulled them a bit more and our only moment of quality won it. Phipps didn't really work up front, and hardly had a meaningful touch in reality but I don't knock his effort.

Agree with most of what you say but I thought Phipps did quite well, he won 90% of high balls punted his way and put in a few blocks and challenges in defence and as you quite rightly say certainly no lack of effort, we needed someone to feed off of the knock ons but had little in support. After we scored he looked like he picked up a knock and was struggling with it and at the same time Morias had come to life after scoring and was looking dangerous so what did Ben do??? Took off Morias and left Phipps on! Baffling

If you could ask Dagenham & Redbridge FC to be summed up in one week, you’d struggle for a better example than this week. Hopeless, on Wednesday to suffer another disgraceful loss, only to pick up a big win on the Saturday against what on paper was a much better opposition given our depleted squad.
Well done to the likes of Phippsy, Dion, Junior & Oscar. Never stopped running and trying to turn those rare opportunities into a goal. Same again for PK at the back, took a battering yesterday thanks to the ref’s cluelessness and didn’t look like quitting at all. There is a core of proper daggers in this squad, I just want to see us turn that midfield into something much better.
As for Rochdale, what on earth was their game plan? Pass it around, then hoof it forward and pray for a corner so that they could do nothing with it? Clearly some talented players but they were nullified by their own crap tactics.

Separated by some mixed cup excursions inbetween, Daggers made it consecutive league victories with the kind they often fall the other side of, edging out Rochdale in ugly yet no less pleasing fashion while missing very important players across the spine.
