Quietly optimistic. We have a habit of going into games like this that we should lose and pulling out a memorable performance from nowhere.

We are missing Dion and also Rees may not be ready to play yet as been out injured so that's our two top scorers. We are also still without a number of other players unavailable through injury so will be very difficult to get a positive result against a decent team.

I wasn't confident even when we were 3-1 up as Barnet looked very dangerous each time that attacked. Two quick penalties in the second half and unfortunately there only looked one winner at that point. A reasonable performance however by our team considering the players we had missing against a good team.

We had them on the back foot at 3-1 but suddenly we stopped pressing and hassling them and once they had time on the ball they took control, a very frustrating afternoon! Thought we deserved a point and should have levelled in extra time. Also why take off Stevenson when he was doing well? Basically today’s result is down to tactics and Ben got it wrong.

Incredibly disappointing but predictable for us to throw away that lead. Something like 17 points thrown away already this season.
We seemed to run out of steam entirely today. Whether it is physical or mental I am not sure but having barely forced a save out of El all day, they could've had two more after the eventual winner.
I don't understand why PK is now out of favour, unless he's still carrying an injury.

Today was unacceptable. Played well, scored goals, lost the match through being ******** retards and continuing our talent of throwing matches from winning positions. This time with a 2 goal lead.
I really like Ben, good bloke and gets it. But he’s not good enough. He has to go now I’m afraid.

How painful was that? After a fairly long awaited return to home soil up pops up a game that just about had everything. Well I suppose a game against Barnet will never go without a glut of goals and certainly could see why they have been perched up near the summit and not the old deflated Barnet. For over an hour and two goals to the good surely we could hold it out but up blows the two penalties in such a short space of time certainly from the Samuels Stand that second looked well dubious but the shock of that and the drive to push them on, they only needed that surge and space and job over, cracking game and a good strong drink needed after, football can be so cruel!

Disappointed as I am today I thought we played well again with a depleted team against a Barnet side unaffected by injury or international call ups. Fine margins as always. A ridiculously poor decision for the 2nd penalty and the width of the goalpost at the end denied us at least a point.
My main concern at the moment is the form of Justham who seems uncharacteristically fallible this season. A weak punch for their first yesterday and beaten at the near post for the last. His indecision in the air cost us a goal at Oldham and his positioning for the long range daisy cutter at Boston last week was questionable and there have been other mistakes earlier in the season. Is he injured? Getting past it at 35? Or does he just need a rest?

What is the solution to losing all these leads ? Is it tactics ? Motivation ? Energy ? It’s so annoying, I want to do the stats to see how we compare to the rest of the league
