Scrappy game, Fondop seemed to climb 10 foot to knock that in and with a side winning 8 out of their last 10 games it wern't going to be our day again and couldn't we just see that early on, although we did look decent coming forward at times especially after playing with ten men after Hess's dismissal which I still say was rather harsh with a birds eye view. Other than a class save second half by Justham neither goalie had much to do and still beats me why we didn't do better as there was certainly cracks in their unit?

Another dead season, 10 points behind the top 5 with the next 10-12 sides battling for the last two spots so very unlikely we will be one of them as we can’t string a good run with out 1 game of pure powder puff.

Recruitment was poor in the summer, defence is worse as is the midfield and we still don’t have a decent striker and all this with a sporting director in the building, would rather have a decent striker not a sporting director.

With 11 wins in 2024 it’s time for change in manager, well it would be if we had owners who were serious about changing the club and not accepting mediocre but it would appear they’re as accepting of average as the last lot. Thanks Ben for coming in and sorting out what you have done but time to go.

I thought long and hard about a season ticket this season snd eventually gave in and got one, not next year unless the owners show some bollocks and really want change at the club because it’s just more of the same.

I believe we have enough good strikers up front to score the goals for a fairly successful season along with good defenders at the other end. The problem I believe we have is that in Appiah-Forson last season we had a midfielder who was such a creative and energetic player he made a huge difference when he came into the team.
However, despite all our efforts to sign him he turned down our offer. When we
signed Akinola in his brief appearance for us he looked the sort of player that could be the creative spark we had been missing but then unfortunately got what looked like a nasty injury and has been missing since.
We have also been particularly poor in our away games having only gained six points in our eight games which is not good enough if we want to get into the playoffs this season.
It will be difficult if we don't improve these issues but hope Ben can turn things around soon.

Injuries or not, we can't keep having these games where we don't lay a glove on the opponent. Yeovil was the same.

We have good players in most positions and are capable of scoring a lot of goals. But we have far too many off days and it was the same under Daryl beforehand.

The injury situation has also been going on far too long. Everyone blamed the training ground but that's changed. The physio and medical team changed. The manager changed. The players changed. The problem remains. Starting to get quite concerned about Easty being in and out of the side, seems a long term one waiting to happen.

As Josh Rees an important player for us was missing for this game, was that through suspension or injury?

Thanks Mark, as you have said so many injuries again this season and I know all teams suffer from them but we seem to suffer more than most. Let’s hope that things can only get better.

Moments of self-harm forged Daggers' path to a third straight away league defeat.

Justham has saved the club tons more points than lost and will continue to, but his error left them chasing the game, a quest later harmed by Hessenthaler's red.
