has announced his departure on Twitter. A massive loss though fairly expected.

Good luck to him, his goals kept us up last season but I’m not surprised he’s going, his obvious dissatisfaction with sections of the crowd showed that he wasn’t happy so if he wanted out then ta ta

Overall I’m disappointed to see this. I totally get why we’re not extending him, he will want more money and a longer contract (that he has rightly earned) that is probably too much of a risk for us. But our replacements currently don’t seem to be even close to his level. On their day, yes, but not for a full season. Good luck to him, hope he gets the deal he deserves in league two

I just watched a video of some his goals they were exceptional. Think he will be a big miss. Who ever he signs for next season will be getting a great player. Just hope the new signings can score the goal he would of. Anyway onwards and upwards hopefully. I'm more excited for next season then I was 6 weeks ago. Good luck effi we're ever you go and COYD

He only managed 28 games last season and isn’t getting any younger. If we spent more money on him as I guess is the issue here we might not have been able to sign Pereira or another striker. He has wanted out for a while now as our wage structure is now very different to when he first signed.

Can absolutely understand why he wanted to move on, and appreciate he might not play all 46 games next season, but I think his ability to score a goal out of nothing is something we will sorely miss next year... The winner against Notts County a year ago stands out as the kind of goal, when looking like we have no chance of snatching a result from a game we are under heavy pressure in, that only he could have scored.
Big season ahead for the attacking talent we now have.

He's signed for Braintree.

Braintree have got money, they're not the small team they were a few years ago. Can see them competing this season
