Frank Nouble has left Colchester by mutual consent, wouldn’t be too surprised to see him rock up at our place.

Just tweeted he is going to make his decision tomorrow on where to sign next :eh:

If true it sums us up, why pay him up when he had another club would save about .£10k madness.

I very much hope not. We would get more from giving Sydney a go.

With regard to Nouble, he has had about 15 clubs, is 31 years old, never scored many goals, so would not see any benefit in him coming here.

From Wikipedia

Nouble
18 different clubs
398 games
51 goals

Pure gold - snap him up

Are we actually going to sign any new players then or just see out the remainder of the season with a squad of 6?

That be totally our decision I would imagine.

Let's face it you ain't got to be much good , if we are in for this Frank Nouble it kinda proves it. All he has to do is come here run around a bit and he will be loved by our fans. Goals are a secondary importance as Macca proved, he did not run around a lot and was called lazy but was lethal in the box . Trouble is for anybody coming in they have the same problem as Macca and that is the supply .

All the balls being played into him will either be overhit, miles over his head or fails to beat the first man

We have players out on loan, so if it gets to the stage we are struggling to put out a matchday squad due to injuries/suspensions then we can recall those to fill gaps. Im not too worried by this until i see what squad size/quality we start next season with.

I don't pretend to know anything about who got paid what, but from my knowledge of severance payments the first £30k is free of income tax for the recipient and they don't attract national insurance so it can be to the employee's and employer's mutual advantage to pay a cash sum equivalent to the remiander of a contract.
