Bit of an eventful last 7 days starting with a dreary loss to a side making it their first away win of the season and then a few days later a bit of a blow to lose our leading scoring striker in Josh Walker, pretty much a bolt out of the blue. Just hope our Junior Morias can pull straws and raise his game again as he seems to have wandered off a bit lately, daggers follow up again in what we did well at the Vale last season a deserving good win, we desperately need to keep in that play off box and with Notts County and Wrexham on the horizon we surely can't afford to come away with nothing.

Could do with a win after the demoralising few days you've outlined above and history indicates there's no better opposition nor location to find it with us having registered six victories and a draw in our seven previous meetings which includes a 100% record at Grosvenor Vale. Hopefully that continues tomorrow against a fellow side within touching distance of the play-offs, and a decent chunk of fans travelling across London. If, like me, you're going by underground then be aware that the Metropolitan Line is completely off so it will have to be Central to either West Ruislip or Ruislip Gardens.

Part time that's what we are ain't it. We'll that's what it looks like as we only turn up half the time.

7 points from 18 this year says the season is slowly slipping away to me.

Think it's time to say thanks Daryl but it's time to make that change . Anybody who continues without fail to put Rance In our Midfield can't be seeing what I am seeing . The player has the same obvious limitations as the Manager.

What we had when we were part time were managers (by and large) who knew what they were doing, had a plan b, recruited players to fit their preferred formation and mostly had somebody above them who could question them. We have none of the above now.

This club is finished as long as Steve Thompson is anywhere near it, he is the man that backed Burnett, Taylor and now McMahon. Enjoy.

Digger, youre spot on mate. We've had a succession of managers, each who have been two bob. Maybe we could have got the Cowleys years ago or Luke Garrard, but instead opted for Burnett who was shocking, PT who was so far up his own ass he could talk to his haemerroids and as for DM, just totally inept.

The board appoint these clowns but its the fans who pay their hard earned to keep the club going.

From being in the playoff spots with games in hand to being 11th with same amount of games played as those above us.

Another season nearly over now then.

There will be no changes, because there is no ambition, wouldn't surprise me if the ownership sells up before next season starts, there doesn't seem to be much interest there anymore.

For anybody who has watched the Wrexham documentary, one of the very first things they did was change the local management & put there own people in place.
This included a bloke whose job was just to oserve & report back (honestly) on how things are being run at the club on a week to week basis.

We chose to leave the exact same people who were running the horror show before, in charge.
these are people who would rather jump out of a top floor window, than make a tough decision.

So, It's no surprise we are still no better than a mid-table NL club, despite all the investment put in, over the last 4-5 years.

Yep. Not sure what is going on at the top but the silence is deafening. A few years back and the owners were all over us, spouting on socials about how they would get us into the league. Haven’t seen or heard from them for ages. We are technically being ghosted by them. The MD is saying nothing but communication skills have never been his forte. There is something rotten in the state of Denmark and it’s not just the dross on the pitch and in the dugout. I am expecting bad news sooner or later.

No disrespect to wealdstone but we should be burying teams like them. There is something seriously wrong at the club for this to continue to happen. On and off the pitch we are a shambles and the level of care shown by the owners is staggering. It makes you wonder if they've not had some kind of ulterior motive and we're just a stepping stone for something else.
I can't honestly see how successful businessmen like these who've obviously had to make difficult decisions in their business lives, are allowing this to continue. Do they really want league football or are they just content on mid-table mediocrity.
I just don't get it.

Just tweeted the owners to go out and get Danny Cowley, would never happen mind could they afford to have him drop down this level absolutely but will they do it, no because they can save a few quid on player lunches because ST said so.

We’ve taken 1 point out of 12 so far against the two only part time sides left in this division, but everything is fine.

1-0 up at Bromley a week and a half ago, one more goal from moving up to fifth.

Cue a dismissive second half ending with a late leveller before two defeats have sunk us into mid-table. Oh, and we've lost the only player who has looked capable of scoring from November onwards.

McCallum and Morias are theoretically capable of filling the void having struck a cumulative 23 goals in the second half of last season, but are currently pale imitations, the latter in particular missing two sitters yesterday which the former version would have buried without even momentary hesitation.

Symptomatic of an afternoon whereby we had countless opportunities but ultimately paid the price for a dismal opening half hour. They scored before we even got going and in this league you always run that risk yet we never learn.
