See this every week when the reserves leave. They’re going to the cafe for lunch. Sure they come back after.

Overnight, we have become a bloody hard team to beat, even when we are not at our best, we are still showing the capability to dig out
a result, due to having developed a decent work rate.

Early days I know for DM, but he is starting to make Taylor look more shit, with every passing game.
In fairness to PT, he did get us on a 10 game unbeaten run early in the season and we were pretty solid then too. But the early signs we're getting from Daryl are very good and winning home games is key to success and was something Taylor failed at.

That was no unbeaten run, that was dropped points and lucky draws. Taylor didn’t have a clue.

There was a lot of draws during that run, and the only time we actually played very well was the home game against Harrogate. There were some very poor results like Eastleigh away, Chesterfield away and Chorley at home - and it seemed as if Taylor was happy to get the point simply because it extended the run.

The driving force behind it was Balanta, who chipped in with crucial goals and assists. Had he not been injured, it's likely if not guaranteed Taylor would still be in a job today as we'd have scraped three or four more results to take us into mid-table. He's not even back to his full powers yet and, in the two games since his return, played a part in Kandi's equaliser against Stockport before scoring yesterday with a very composed finish.

Under McMahon we look a different team, playing progressive, fearless football with a good, structured press enabling us to regain possession quickly. Yesterday was a hard test for us because Solihull knocked it about really well at times. We're always on the front foot and look confident going forwards. Above all else, we're a team that's exciting to watch. I really look forward to the next game on Tuesday. McMahon's restored a lot of hope and faith.

We've kept the same amount of clean sheets in the last month as the previous five months under Taylor. We've lost one in eight in all competitions and that was courtesy of a ridiculous strike from near enough the half-way line. The improvements are undeniable under McMahon.

They had the odd moment but Solihull looked poor and we played okay enough to win. Won't live long on the memory (unlike the 4-4 against them a few years back) but a big win.

Didn't think Solihull were anything special home or away. But then we've been saying this about most teams over the course of the last two/three seasons which effectively makes this wasted season even more frustrating.

Good three points nonetheless, and good to get Phipps back on the pitch, even if it was only for five or so minutes at the end.

Very good and thoroughly deserved win yesterday. Daryl has certainly motivated the players well and with that mentality sure were on the way of getting in a more safer position. Think Elliot's finger tip save early second half was such a great blessing as if that had gone in it would have fired them up more confident for possibly a draw, his incredibly so important a player to us and the story continues, and thought we were quite rock solid in defence and closing them down well. If conditions return better really can't see why we can't get a couple of decent results on the next two tough matches away, and finally nice to see the ground with more fans in, and a good win on view, sure the players appreciated it.

Match Report: Daggers 2 Solihull 0

Here's my match report and player ratings from an workmanlike performance of passion, desire and intensity, capped by two very well-worked goals as McMahon continues to right the wrongs of the Taylor era.

Exactly this. Was my feeling before the start of the season and still is now.

Barrow, Harrogate, Boreham Wood and Halifax are the top 4.

Even if we go on a superb run of form and finish top half or something, I'm not sure I'll ever get over the wasted chance this season has presented. Hartlepool, Notts County (granted they started with issues), Wrexham and even Barnet etc should all feel the same way.

Fortunately I managed to get to the game yesterday and throughly enjoyed the day and a win. Still room for improvement, thought we could be a bit smarter with the ball in winning positions at times but it was certainly a deserved victory. Great to see a big crowd too, can't recall the last time I personally have seen that many, possibly the play-off semis against FGR a few seasons ago.

Bang on Nick , so desperate to see the back of Taylor we appear to be grateful . They were nothing special and started the, game in 7th .
The best chance we have had since we dropped out the FL and we blew it, there again may be a blessing because whoever goes up with Barrow are going to need to spend because simply wont be good enough to survive .
Thought it was another dreadful game to be honest .

The second season back down here was the best chance until Hopkin pulled the plug, we had Fejiri, Whitely, Ferrier, Cheek In that squad should have been way ahead when Hopkin pulled out. Still completely wasted a huge budget. See he is getting plenty of stick down at Maidstone, probably be his last job until a few more pound notes get thrown at him.
