House on Fire.

Has anyone seen a Daggers player ever have a first 20 minutes like that on their debut? He looked absolutely mustard to me. Seemed to give the whole team a lift knowing that we had something up front. Even Quiggers raised his game when he came on. And then there was Mullins, just to remind us of the ghost of Daggers past. A thoroughly pleasant day at the Vic. Stadium looks great too.

Too right Rampant, couldn't have done more, how many times do we say we just need an out and out old fashioned Centre-forward, all the team worked so well though credit to every one of them and what got me today not only gaps we'd been seeing for so long were filled but nearly every goal had a great build up and then finished off to a Tee, wont for one second take away from our boys that performance but quite frankly the Shots are a poor side maybe they just didn't know what hit Em from the first few minutes! Cant let this slip now can we?

Also was it me or did Mullings come across as a bit of a w@n*er today, I know he wanted to prove a point but I never saw that fiery side to him the whole time he was with us.. few late off the ball fouls from him and few tirades to the ref when decisions went against him.

I was dreading him scoring the more the game went on and after the bit of needle our fans were giving him :yay: :yay:

A few more of them could've done with his attitude, felt a lot of the shots players didn't really seem that upset to be getting a hiding. Thought he was one of their better players, won a few knock downs and held it up ok, but he did miss a free header which says it all really.

The Aldershot players seemed to be more concerned with blaming each other for the goals rather than firing themselves up and lacked any unity from the moment we made it 2nil

A year ago today a certain Conor Wilkinson sparked a win against Fylde that prompted the transformation of our season. Hopefully House has the same effect and judging from yesterday he has the potential to be some player. What impressed me most was his work-rate and the way he was able to unsettle experienced defenders, a great attribute to compliment his two excellent finishes.

Word of warning here, Aldershot were extremely shit. We didn’t beat Brazil.
However,Great result and thoroughly entertaining game, we played well.House was immense and the other fella from Billericay looks useful. I thought it was Jack Munns with a beard.

Couldn't see a match thread. Just wanted to say that you've a great club going there. Some grounds you come away thinking they were dross, D&R is looking good and now you are back in to the play-off picture. So despite the result that you fully deserved, the stewards and police were really hospitable and why I've given you all a decent write up. We were asked to give Brian East a helping hand with the send off and our fans sure did. As for the game, shame we let the House go but as this thread suggests, he was on fire! Best wishes for the season.

Thanks chief. Over the years my experience of Aldershot fans hasn't been pleasant but you are obviously one of the good guys. I guess it was hard to be too boisterous having taken a tonking but we've all been there and you'll be back in the future. Good luck with the rest of the season.

We'll need it mate.

Sorry to hear your experience with a few of us hasn't been great but like I said to the bobbies at DE station, you won't get any hag from us.

You know every club has it's troublemakers, that's a given.

What a day - what a fecking day!!!

First of all, the ground improvements are absolutely immense! It looks like a brand new club, so professional and welcoming. We now really have a clubhouse are we can be proud of and even the beer was good yesterday of which there was plenty.

It would definitely be fair to say Aldershot were Aldershit and the scathing interview from their manager is well worth a watch and a laugh https://youtu.be/6pfMmO6Aqf0

But as for us, amazing what a couple of decent signings & some added enthusiasm of 25 or so americans can do to lift the old place.
That 1st half performance was absolutely devastating and clinical in equal measures. Dont recall a half like that since the 2nd half against Morecambe in the playoff 1st leg.

2nd half thought we were more than happy to take our foot off the gas but then Wright hits a worldie free kick and Quigley scores my own personal favourite goal of the game. Awesome little turn and then bang!!!
Was frustrating to have switch off for 1 second to ruin Merges dreams of a 6-0 but there was no way it would spoil a great performance.

Then back into the bar after where it was absolutely buzzing!! For a few hrs it really felt like it was back to the good old days.
Had a brief chat with Peter and a long chat with Craig. They really are quite infectious people. Their enthusiasm, their knowledge, their real desire to turn the club into something quite big.

Will probably come back down to earth with a bump after the Fylde game but for now am going to revel in a super day!

A challenge for someone to finish off the last line to a new song a couple of us were putting together last night.

Our HOUSE, is a very very very nice HOUSE.
With KANDI on the wing
And LUQUE putting em in

After seeing the ground improvements I felt like I’d actually go as it made me feel much more positive about the club. Maybe I really am a loyal fan x

House was a very welcome addition. Reminded me of Tomi Adeloye, but had the advantage of knowing what those sticks with a net on them are. Gave the defence no rest and I hope he maintains that level for us. Everyone else was superb and I think Stevenson deserves a massive shoutout for some superb shithousery in the second half. Never laughed so much with Mullings getting heckled every time the ball went for a throw-in. Might please some to hear that his booking has now earned him a suspension.

Disappointing to concede but I suppose we can’t have it all. My two biggest take aways from the game are that after only just hearing PT’s interview I have just remembered that Angelo Balanta exists. Didn’t think about him once yesterday. Also a group of boys were behind me, late teens/early 20s and one genuinely said near the end of the match “Sod West Ham I’m coming down here next time”. Hopefully that actually happens and others are doing the same.

Well done daggers, it might not happen again this season but that was bloody fun.

Glad you didn't miss it, clearly a loyal fan

There is so much as you say to be positive about the Club and when you are it makes the whole thing much more enjoyable doesn't it
