Before signing for us, Harold Odametey played in 89 of Maidenhead's 92 games across two Vanarama National League seasons. He only missed three matches in two campaigns, the absolute definition of an ever-present.

He comes to Dagenham and has already missed five times that total in just three months. Now it's been confirmed in Peter Taylor's programme notes that he's out for the rest of the season.

Just couldn't write it could you.

The Manager has made some bad calls but this one has to go down as disaster.

Firstly seeing a Player crocked in a two bob cup that is the ESC is bad enough, but days later we crash out of the FA Cup when we were crying out for a player like him to dig us out of a hole.

This news just puts the icing on the cake.

This is gutting, he was the summer signing I thought we needed most. Reckon Taylor will be on the blower to the owners this morning asking for a bit of cover

Yeah, bet they cannot wait to give him some more money to blow on "below average" players.

If he had got crocked in the FA Cup game fair does but to risk him in a game like he did takes the biscuit .Management of resources is a skill any Manager in any business must be able to show.

So a player who has been injured and needed game time is sensibly played to get his fitness up for the National League. That player suffers an unfortunate injury which could hardly have been foreseen.
Could have played in the FA Cup and been stretchered off in the first minute. Resource management had nothing to do with it, utter nonsense. Injuries happen,

People do write some utter tripe on this page. How can you blame Peter Taylor for Odametry getting injured. If he can't get in the starting eleven on a Saturday where do you play him to give him match practice. In a minor cup match of course. It seems that when anything goes wrong most of the correspondents on this forum want to blame Peter Taylor. I don't think Ive ever come across such a negative bunch of people as the ones that fill these pages. Lighten up for goodness sake!

In 5 LEAGUE matches prior to that he'd been a sub and came on in 3 and played as a starter in 2 before that very very important match at Hulbridge.
So I think it's fair to say he'd had match practice and was deemed fit enough don't you?
You simply don't risk one of your better players in a shite tournament that no one cares about. But let's all stop being negative.
So now we've lost him for the season, bravo, well done Peter. It's not your fault Peter, carry on mate.

Something that is even more unbeliviavble bearing in mind how poor we have been for at least half the games we have played, come Saturday evening we could find ourselves 6 points from the top of this division.
To make it even more eye rubbing is that if a disgracefull bit of refereeing in the Bromley home game had not occured the gap would be only three points.

Now the Manager is rightfully being questioned but we would all have taken this in August after 20 games, surely.

When the board see how close we are,or,shall I say could be after Saturday, then they will surely come to the same conclusion as we have .There will never be a better chance then this season of getting out of this League and will take the opportunity now to strengthen
