The other thing in the Gary Neville interview was that he said Salford accept making large losses as the cost of getting promotions that will get them to the Championship ie they expect the losses to continue year on year, with the idea being that they will be sustainable by then. How many Championship sides are sustainable without benefactors?

Also, if you’ve been getting promoted year in year out and then arrive in the Championship and can’t compete with the clubs who are being bankrolled, you’ve either got to bankroll or accept your results will suffer and you lose supporters and revenue and begin to slip back down the slippery pole.

Yet again its the real hardcore of the fans who suffer when things like this happens, always believed that a good argent supporter of a less fashionable club is one hell of a football fan and sadly a few more clubs could follow soon, know a fair bit about this club as well mates with a man whose followed them for over 65 + years living near me down South, it was him that took me down to Victoria Road for the first time in 07, the problem for whatever reason developing like this is a hefty mortgage spiralling out to a few million on the ground and hindsight shouldn't have got this far and change of ownership to which this present guy although under huge stress has had a lot on his plate in a short space of time. There was a excellent article from Simon Jordan in the Sun a couple of days ago who took over the Eagles when he was 31 saying two major changes effected the unity of our Leagues when Sky's massive influx of cash and a 'new course' of owners like Abromovich's started impacting our top flights to which the distance began to move further away from the lower realms. Then when those clubs began to struggle in the hour of need not so thorough scrutiny was implemented on these 'new guys' ability to do the jobs properly, long haul? and probably why things have been happening like were now seeing. So two different contrasts in the same time, and so close to each other, Bury sunk and in pain and Bolton up the road live to fight another day.
