So I think it'safe to say that for us, the top 5 league spots are gone.

That leaves 2 spots up for grabs with 5 teams realistically thinking they have a chance of nicking one, Southend, Oxford, York, Plymouth, us. Cheltenham & Mansfield are too far are adrift at this stage to make up the ground.

The final fixtures couldnt really be more favorourable to us (on paper) starting with a very poor Wycombe away on Saturday. Absolutely no doubt they will be absolutely fighting hard in their deep relegation fight BUT we have absolutely zero to lose and if we for change can get the 1st, early goal we could steamroll them.

Other day's fixtures are;

Burton v Plymouth
Cheltenham v Southend
Oxford v Fleetwood
Rochdale v York.

All very, very tough fixtures. Best case is that we come out of Adams Park just 2 points off the hallowed positions.
Obviously, we are Dagenham and nothing is ever that straightforward .... but its nice to imagine right???

We have an outside chance, but it's not beyond our reach yet. So many "if only" matches where we have lost points in the last few minutes. Now a little more good fortune like last Saturday, and bringing back Montgomery for the last few games and who knows? :D

I get that 5 of the last 6 teams we have left to play all still massively have something play for, HOWEVER, the 4 currently sitting at the bottom of the table aren't there through being any good.
No points deductions or anything like that to give a false impression. The old adage - the table never lies!

I personally don't think I could have handpicked a better final 6 fixture's if I'd tried. Keep believing!!

1 Rochdale 40 25 74
2 Scunthorpe 40 24 72
3 Chesterfield 40 26 70
4 Fleetwood 40 11 65
5 Burton 40 5 65
6 Southend 40 12 59
7 Oxford Utd 40 8 59
8 York 40 8 59
9 Plymouth 39 0 55
10 Dag & Red 40 1 54
11 Cheltenham 40 -7 51
12 Bury 40 3 50
13 Mansfield 40 -10 50
14 Hartlepool 40 0 49
15 Accrington 40 -2 49
16 Newport 39 -4 49
17 Wimbledon 40 -6 48
18 Morecambe 40 -13 48
19 Exeter 40 -4 47
20 Bristol Rovers 40 -8 46
