Pitch

Whether we go up or not, we need to spend some money on getting proper sprinklers etc for the pitch. It's so bumpy at the moment that you can see players struggling to control and run with the ball, back passes are a lottery and we have seen a few shots bounce over keepers.

I know it would be lovely to blame everything on somebody else, but they're not drying out the pitch.

If only it was that simple.
Normally at this stage of the season our pitch is hard and dry, therefore bumpy. This time around they seem to be trying to stop it getting dry, but the grass on it is clumpy and patchy as anyone that went on for the PoTS presentation on Saturday will have noticed.
If we are serious about wanting a better pitch at home, installing sprinklers has to be the next step tbh.

My point was it is far from helpful 3 teams playing on it. It was the driest winter and spring on record, sprinklers makes sense. The ones we have are pony.

Telling them to sod off won't change the fundamental problem of the pitch being dry - which it is at this stage of every season.

Apparently they are digging up the whole pitch and replacing it,also a new drainage is going in at the same time as for a sprinkler system have to wait and see.

It'd be nuts not to put one in while doing that much work.

If they're digging the pitch up then that's the time to put sprinklers in. Otherwise a fair amount of it will have to come up again. Although as the ground is owned by the council that's exactly how they'd do it!!!(I know they don't actually get involved in such matters, it was a little joke.)
