What a day! Everton away. Seeing little Dagenham playing a full strength Everton at Goodison. Remember it vividly, 6am outside the ground with 10 coaches, speaking to lovely scousers in a pub and then a memorable 90 mins of football! Noise was unbelievable, what a great day to be a Dagger.

Can't remember much of the game but the cat running on was the highlight of the match for me.

From what I remember of the match we held our own and played alright without really looking like causing an upset. Get the feeling if Everton had taken the game seriously (considering they had Pienaar, Lennon, Mirallas and Kone in their starting 11) they would have thumped us. A brilliant day out.

I enjoyed it but not in the same way as some of our cup upsets in years gone by. I'm not sure why but it all just felt a bit subdued.

It was great seeing us play at that stadium against a prem side but after a year of awful performances I guess my enthusiasm had waned a bit. I felt quite negative towards most of the players and had no faith in them at all. It wasn't like going to Charlton for example with a team full of honest hard working guys who really had the fans behind them.

Agree 100%. Good day out, but we never went and had a go at them. Routine 2-0 home win, they never had to sweat at all.

I understand why we did that, but it was not the same as the big FA Cup games of the early noughties.

Agree with Mike and Mark. Most memorable moments were probably the cat, the torrential rain on way back to station and having a beer with Jim Bentley in the pub pre game.

King Harry Pu was the best bit, if you missed it you'll never know how brilliant it was.

Highlight was definitely Labadie banging one just over the bar from 30 yards just before they scored. Oh, we believed.

What a day though. Amazing.

Thought it was a great day, wasn't expecting anything from the match itself so wasn't that disappointed. Atmosphere was superb, and the night out after was its equal!!

We stayed for the weekend at a hotel in little Sutton in Cheshire, as that's the nearest hotel to where my mate lives...
What I didn't know was that, that was the hotel the team stayed at... the look on Kokos face when he saw me was magic...
