It never ceases to amaze me how uncommercial our commercial department is.
In the real world calendars and diaries are in the shops by 1st August every year. When I was selling b2b, we'd get our orders in February with everything tied up by April.
Now with the club, I don't expect them to be this organised because the logistics of selling a calendar full of players who may have left (or be long-term injured!) is not good.
But, the club could have a guaranteed print run if you ordered and paid for your next year calendar at the time you bought your season ticket, with the calendar collected from the club shop on 1st December or earlier. With obviously an early bird price and a club shop price.
