English Riviera Tuesday night

Second far out midweek game tomorrow night and just hope it don't turn out like the first (the 3-0 drubbing at Chester) although looking at it now thought we bounced back very well with the following games and can't see why Torquay United will stop that path to be honest. Actually think were in for a good game especially as we missed out on two added points Saturday and no doubt John and the boys would love to widen the gap come late evening, 2-1 win and as I know a few dagger exiles living West, hopefully a good turn out coach side and a few train stragglers like myself hope we can push our boys on to victory and worth it every ounce!

This is the "easy one" out of our fixtures this month, really. So for me we have to win. Really tough fixtures for everyone else with Macclesfield/Barrow, Forest Green/Aldershot and Lincoln. At least two of them are dropping points, so get a win in this and we can go into the next few matches against the big boys with some real confidence and breathing room. 2-1 to us. JMD and Hawkins.

I think this one will produce a few goals, so I'll say a 3-2 win, to keep the momentum going. Hawkins, Whitley and an og.

Well that's a shame - Perhaps long distance midweek games will be our downfall this season

Oh dear ,never mind boys you did us proud it's just things conspired against us tonight.
Scott getting sent off is the game changer and even after that we looked a league above that lot To lose to the only shot they had on target was gutting , we had a right go at rescueing the situation and none of the 70 Daggers who went can complain about the effort.
First five minutes we forced three corners and had six shots on their goal and it looked a case of how many.
Want to see the sending off again cos the feeling amongst the Daggers is that he fell over his own feet.
How we never scored ten minutes from half time I will never know a real goalmouth scramble when we had at least three attempts to put the bloody thing in and it just would not .
Only thing I would ask in hindsight was JMD the right Player for the hook as some of our dead ball situations were a tad dissappointing.
Losing to a truly dreadfull team like that I hope don't knock confidence , it should not because despite the result we looked a very good team tonight an opinion shared by more then one home supporter.
Not a good start to the month but I am confident that if we continue to play the way we are tonight will only prove to be a blip

Yes Arnu , the only debate is did he touch him to send him down as their was an opinion that he was on his way down before Scott touched him.
One of those were the Opponent could easily con the Officials and once he gave the free kick he was always going off . Need to see it again a luxury the Ref don't have but if it was what the majority thought then I imagine an appeal . Won't change result which is annoying as 11-11 we win that game , can't tell you how poor they were

Ive watched it back a dozen times now and to say it looks soft is an understatement,i cant see doey even making a challenge.
Coupled with that Joe was virtually alongside him and we are not talking six yard box or centre of goal.Think the judge would throw this out of court, lack of evidence.

Spot on mate, sitting up in the away seats all about 40 of us and we all had a birds eye view right in line with it Doey was running back head up front watching ball coming over his head and about to deal with it pronto and that opponent just way laid into him, made a complete meal of it and all eyes on the referee straight away he looked in 'no man's land' and I guess that linesman our side ruled it major infringement and last man foul and out comes Red, Shit! when are they gonna get into their heads football is a physical game with a bit of 'argy bargy'. Definitely should have kept JMD on, and boy, did we miss Boucard (Never thought I'd say that after last season), hard luck boys not one of us afterwards said you never gave it a go after losing our skipper.

You might want to have a watch of the highlights.
Doe lets the ball bounce into the path of their player and ends up the wrong side. Once there their player was always looking to go down, but Doey wasn't going to deal with it pronto.
There's also no such thing as a last man foul.

But ad theres also nothing in your post that says it was a foul either, ball bounces wrong side of doey,so what. The only right part was their player looking to go down,so no foul and officials have got to be better. To me it looks like doey was just about catching up and soon as he saw the line he went down,he wernt looking for a red card for doey he was looking for a pen, thats my view mate for what its worth.

I was referring to the stuff about Doe watching the ball and bring about to deal with it before being way laid.
That stuff just wasn't happening.
Was it a foul? Hard to tell as it's not a great view. But Doe would have been better off not getting so close.

In many ways because of the new rules around double jeopardy of last man red cards he would have been better off letting the guy get in the box then fouling him to give the penalty away, if he did that he probably would have only been booked.
