Views from the Sieve

There were rumours circulating yesterday evening that a large bulk of this is made up of his 'certified accountants' £25M valuation of his house when in fact the true, max valuation is nearer to 7M.

And apparently something about a Porsche valued at 10M LOL


So you could knock over half of that 45M straight away... IF true.

He's got to be worth in that ballpark if he paid 4m for a wedding and 3m on gifts. Unless he's done a huge lump of his fortune on wedded Bliss.

I'm not so much questioning how much money he has or hasn't got, although that should be of some concern.

I am however questioning his commitment (forums passim).
This is man who seems to want to own a football club - any football club.
He does not seem to care too much whether It is Brentwood, Bishops Stortford or now us.
If that is all he wants, then please Mr Tamplin, go and buy somewhere else. You might be able to persuade Thommo and the current Chairman by dangling a big fat carrot of cash in front of their eyes, but I'm afraid it doesn't work with me or the majority of the supporters I speak to.
Some of us would prefer to remain a members owned club in a lower league than be swayed by mr billy biscuits waving cash.
If we have to sell some of the equity of the club it needs to go to people who love and care about the club as much as I do; people who have socialised in the club and know exactly what needs to be done instantly to put things back on track. People who are not afraid to make difficult decisions and upset others who are saying things only to protect their own job or income.

In short
First a members club, but if we have to sell, sell to the Goodwin consortium even if the initial income is lower. #GOODWIN IN. #TAMPLIN OUT

Yep agree with all great post Auntie,its not all about the sum of money its about whos putting it in.And everyone knows gooders has the club at heart,and some are doing all they can to save their jobs cos they will be out the door if lee does get in or the very least another roll.This club needs to move forward on and off the pitch but especially off,some fresh faces,fresh more forward thinking people,and not people who have been here to long and have far too much power.I don't like the words tyranny and tyrant much,but they could be heard a damn lot last season!As AM says VOTE GOODERS!!
