New Manager in the dug out next four League games are massive.
Stevenage and Newport are now must wins ,hopefully after Monday the Newport game could be a real 6 pointer and we can add them to a possable four horse race. Glad to see they don't appear to have an easy one untill we meet.
Yeovil lost again and ok York have a game in hand but at least it will be against an in form team when it's rearranged.
How desperate am I sounding

I still say theres enough points to finish mid table. We need the new guy to have a clear out. I cant see this current mob getting us out of it. If they were gonna have any passion it would have been today but they largely looked disinterested and only Labadie and Dunne got stuck into it.I really don't know what Cureton gave us today either,he is the most experienced out there and you need your Hoytes and your Curetons to grab the game and the others by the nuts and get stuck in.Darren and Hackett have got to go too.Their first attempt equalled Waynes worst result all season.I don't really know what the plan was today, just carry on as you were before wayne went it seems.
John Still or anyone else wont save us either unless they bring in 7 or 8 new players that give a shit.

The worrying thing Arnu is that the new Manager may have had a say into today's week pathetic effort.
Sorry mate there is simply nothing there and we no longer have the money to do anything and the players we need are not going to want to come here or will be free anyhow.
Talking about money this Everton game that is going to fill the coffers. Another factor is its the last of four successive home games for Everton in a fortnight. That alone will put more then a few locals off we would have been better off getting Portsmouth away same gate and at least a chance of a draw even if a remote one.

A lot of what you said in this is true. There are number of players that aren't worthy of playing for us and are simply not cutting it. But who brought them here?
Another thing, financially we would probably be on about a par if we drew Portsmouth away compared to playing Everton. They are both massive clubs only difference is, one has had a major fall from grace and is the same league as us. Everton are a premier league side and this will be a good day out for us and go down as a big part of club history, so I'm pretty pleased with the draw.

One day it might be revealed how far down the list the players who were recruited were on Wayne's list. Some were not even his third choice, so most were recruited out of Hobson choice but the way some of you lot go on you think he had the pick .
Any Manager can only work with what he has got and looking at it nobody is going to get a tune out of these misfits.
Dare say we will still be losing deep into next season and it will still be his fault.
Of course he has to take most of the flack because as you said he recruited them, but we started at Portsmouth this year and could not even fill the bench and starts with a Player who was clearly injured. There comes a time when you can wait no longer and the fact we started the season without a full squad just shows how difficult it is to attract players here let alone proven ones.

Could everyone stop doing the Everton game down because of financial reasons? We're playing a match at GOODISON PARK, my favourite stadium in the country, in 2 weeks' time. Is that not excitement enough?

There are probably only about 4 clubs in the whole world of football that actually get their first choice of player. Every other club then has to make do with what else is available.
The big difference between Burnett and previous managers we've had, is that he seemed to be more interested in picking up journeyman players at the bottom of their career rather than young hungry players from outside the Football League. When he has signed that sort of player, he might as well have not bothered as he barely gave them a chance.
Have you considered that the way he acted at times may have been part of why he found it hard to attract players - the slating of Ian Gayle in a radio interview and the contract 'negotiations' with Gavin Hoyte and Luke Howell are the sort of things that will get around players.
If he is being blamed next season, then it will be no different to when quite a few on here were trotting out the excuses for Burnett of the team not being his. Good job it improved so much once it was finally his, eh?
