Message From Supporters Club Chairman

Today I spoke to Russell and he has asked me to put the following notice on the forum,

Morecambe Tuesday Night

He was very disappointed that this was only the second game that he has failed to get enough to run a Coach to an away game.

He would like to make Peoplr aware that a Supporter that does not post on here is running a Mini Bus.

The cost will be £25 -£30 and he has four seats left.

Anybody interested should contact Paul Harrison on the following number

07973660264

End of message

It is disappointing but I have to say not surprising in the slightest given the distance to morecambe on a Tuesday, all the events on the pitch to date + our 'form' or lack thereof, & not to mention the clubs decision to get yesterdays fixture postponed a whole 7 days prior. Im certain a lot of those who had booked up and paid to go (and lost money) would usually have gone tomorrow but there comes a point where you draw the line......

****** the mini bus, if our supporters are committed enough to travel all that way, surely the club can make room for them on the team coach. Then again, the 6 hour return journey might be too much for Koko and his little bald sidekick to bear after another humiliation.

I am only the messenger , thought at one stage that it was only going to be me and Simmo there.

So glad we have 9 who knows we may get the bakers dozen.

WIth England playing that evening, we still may make 1% of the total gate.

This is a big ask right now.

1....Its a long way
2....Its a Tuesday night
3....Will require time off work
4....We aint winning right now,and not likely to win this one
5....Probably £100 a head with travel tickets food drink etc
6....After the Oxford game I cannot see why Id trouble myself with it as the players just folded after 30 seconds(Whether you think that assessment is true or not surely the club manager and players understand the lack of interest)

Fair play to those who travel, you probably need your head tested but I admire your spirit.

I truly hope we win but I don't think we can be beaten up for not attending this one.Probably wouldn't hurt the club to reward the few that do go with something at least.Start with a win.

Feel bad for Russell as he's put a lot hard work in for nothing but ARNU summed this up pretty well. It's time off work, we're not playing well, long journey, and it's a Tuesday night. With England playing the same night as well, the thought of Morecambe away doesn't sound too appealing. Another thing to add is, it could possibly work out cheaper to have a weekend away somewhere than it is to go to this.

Points 1,2,3 and 4 were all true in reference to the Southport game, ......

But still the management threw that back in our faces by saying we should be supporting the club.
