For the sake of an arguement

J C has become a Dagger legend there is no doubt about that.
But he still won't get my Player of a The Season vote that goes to Mark Cousins who has made just as many fantastic saves as JC has scored if not more.

My mind was made up last Friday actually, with some of the stops he made that saved us from a hammering, Add in the fact that for every goal J C has score I have seen him miss half as many again as what may fall into " The absoloute sitter box"

So therefore my vote goes to MC and not JC

A good argument but JC will get it.

Either one would be fine by me, with batt a close 24th

Dave Hogan has bagged 24th spot

For me I think it needs to be MC, just edging it over JC.

Cureton is a 39 year old that has played the majority of the season without a proper strike partner and currently sits as the leagues 2nd top scorer.
Without him, we'd have been gone ages a go.
Cousins has been good, but we'd have probably got away with a different keeper.

No doubt it will be between JC and MC.

Otherwise Ayo is up there for me. Our season started to turn once he settled in. Prone to the odd panic but vital to our improvement.

If he had another 10-15 games, I've been impressed with Joe at left back. Very solid and remember how young Jack was getting roasted there early season.

I'd say Doe has been the best centre back since Ayo arrived.

Problem with MC is that he pulls off Weber saves like Monday in a game we win comfortably or in games we lose anyway like Shrewsbury... JC has probably won more points than MC has saved us

Think JC and MC - not sure what order- will occupy the first two places whilst Billy Bingham will secure third.

Cureton ahead of Cousins by a long way for me. Would chuck Hemmings in to complete the top 3

Can we not name the two club bars after these two great players for us this season who without their efforts we would have dived out of this League long ago, forever grateful and just hope they carry on with us next season, still sinking in how great it was watching four goals sail in yesterday, can't wait for the five left now to see if we finish what looked a pretty dismal season on a great finale.

I take your point Adrian, but the other keeper would have had to be someone other than Liam O'Brien! Whoever gets the award, it surely has to be between Cureton and Cousins! Me? I haven't decided yet!
