So currently he can afford to live wage free? You seen the car he drives!
You know his financial situation? I don't. But people have got money you know...

Hackett should go.I hate that race card.Dont get me wrong many minorities get heaps and heaps of racism thrown at them and are legitimate in their claims but when its used as a lie as an excuse for bad behaviour or performance in this case it makes me puke.He lost it for no doubt being called all manner of things which in itself id say was excusable for him to have a go back but he raised his hands as well as getting the old race card out.He should go.

As I said,Cant see what good this forum will do,Wayne'll go home with the right arse now cos he don't do criticism constructive or otherwise well at all.Watch the next few games go down the bog now.

Seriously? We seriously believe he has the finances to sit out an entire twice twelve months of football with literally no income? We believe stylishly that gee signed a new contract on those terms knowing he wouldn't play again until Christmas at the earliest? Are we seriously saying this? I despair

Did fairly well money-wise at West Ham, moved back in with his mum and rented out the couple of properties he owns when he initially signed for us. All because he wanted to get back into the upper echelons of the football pyramid.

Edit - it's taken me five separate attempts to post this message, the mobile theme used breaks the ability on an iPhone to move the cursor/view content bigger than the textarea/copy and paste. Can anything be done about it?

If he signed for us just to get back fit and get a move back up the leagues then I fear for the man's sanity after last season being here... nobody comes to this club to 'get fit', they come here with a minor injury and then spend 6 months out... even if we are originally told they will be out for fortnight or so.

There is obviously a basic that was negotiated but the term used was that it becomes exsoensive when he plays and even more so when he scores.

My comment was in relation to how he could afford to play for us for pittance, he originally signed a year deal to get full, decent season behind him and put himself in the shop window, and made sacrifices financially to do so. I am told (and as others have said) that he signed this season on a lot less basic wage with bigger incentives. Nothing to do with being here to get fit.

With all due respect, given the arguments made against the signing, even a 'less basic wage' is still a wage that has made it a wasted contract if the guy isn't going to potentially play now for the entire season... if we didn't constantly talk about how poor our budget was then issues like this wouldn't matter.

Nobody would constantly mention Batt being a higher earner at the club if we were playing well and he could justify the money... the signings made at the end of the transfer window by the manager with Zavon and Batt have ultimately not benefitted us this season at all.

I don't think many of his signings have benefitted us at all but that's a bigger issue. Cureton, Cousins and recently Hemmings are the only summer ones I'd consider anywhere near success.

Right to Reply - as I wasn't allowed to in the meeting (as someone said, the club is being run like North Korea)

I have a meeting with Dave the Chairman next Tuesday, and depending on the outcome of this, I will be seeking legal advice for slander and defamation of character, as I do not use the language mentioned (the C word) in fact, it's not in my vocabulary. I also reject all the other slanderous slurs that were thrown my way.

I did shout out to Burnett that he was a ******** disgrace, of which I sent an email to Steve Thompson at his request to apologise for using the F word as it is totally out of character for me to swear.... My apology was rejected. All I can say is that I feel sorry for Wayne and Steve if they get easily offended by one swear word.

My son was right next to the incident that night and is in the pictures taken of it.He says there was lots of jeering and a fair bit of abuse going in both directions but he heard nothing at all racial, and further to that would have been disgusted by it if he had.

The management should own their rubbish season so far and I am really disappointed that they have turned on all the fans just because they cant take a bit of well deserved barracking off a few.In football I think with the run we'd had at that stage they should fully accept a bit of stick with the odd colourfull expletive, and not whine like little girls when they allow a team from the conference to completely embarrass us by knocking us out the cup.

They should man up and deal with it !!

The quicker they are all gone the better, wherever we finish up.
