So another unsurprising result this evening, forest green were good but then again if you constantly give the ball away to them then they will take advantage. The ref didn’t help with some awful decisions and inconsistencies but at the end of the day we’re just not good enough!
Our two newest signings looked ok when they came on though, Shilo man of the match?? Lots of effort but no end result, relegation here we come.

A couple of things for me personally tonight.

1. Justham is either just going through the motions readying himself for a move elsewhere, or there is something seriously wrong off the pitch.
Either way he really shouldn't be an automatic first choice. He is definitely not the goalkeeper he was, but with no one pushing him for a starting place he's an automatic choice regardless of errors.

2. This analytical approach resembling that of FIFA 2025 doesn't work at this level. We've brought this on ourselves.
It means that we haven't had a settled side all season. Every team has injuries, suspensions etc. But to constantly chop and change players is a recipe for disaster. No one really knows whose playing from one week to the next. Apart from maybe 3 or 4 regulars when fit the rest is made up from half of the football league!

That said the really sad thing for me was seeing Morias leave, I'm not sure how hard we tried to keep him, when you consider he's been replaced by others whose wages would presumably be the same. Him and Umerah would have been a decent duo to have up top. Umerah looked lost tonight chasing aimless high balls and lost causes with no support.

We may have a 6 point cushion from the relegation pack but on tonight's performance, that will disappear pretty quick if we don't start performing.
I have nothing against Young. I think he's a bright bloke who talks a good game and says all the right things. But as a manager, he's unproven and we should have never given him a 2 year deal. 6 months and then see where we are, but 2 years is a big risk.
A risk I think personally that will end up with us relegated.
I hope I'm wrong, but we were dreadful tonight, FGR were nothing special, but then again, they didn't have to be.

We played against a team that are very difficult to beat without looking that good but also don’t have any real weaknesses. I think Umerah did well up front but had no real support. We had a decent spell in the second half but they then went up the other end and scored the second goal which then knocked the stuffing out of us. We now need some points to make sure we are not in much danger of relegation.

Not in much danger of relegation!!
Are you that detached from reality that you can't see that we are obviously in a relegation fight at the moment.
teams below us are picking up points and we are dropping them, the writing is on the wall my friend.. get used to it. PS after reading other posts of yours on this forum do you mind if I ask what is your role in the club?

Young should start all the new signings not just give them 20 mins at the end. Drop the poor performers ( which currently is most of them especially the captain).

I think if we had battled and fought from start to finish with newbies and lost I'd have accepted a defeat and clapped them all off.

If young is gonna keep fielding players like Hill and Rees just because they had 2 good games under Stevens of course we'll go down.

Just want to see hard work don't we ?
Bollix to Shampoo, it's real poo we want !

I think we probably deserved something from the game in terms of balance of the play. We had some good chances but ultimately didn't test their keeper except for one shot from Remy. At the other end, one slightly lax piece of closing down and we're behind - we don't have anyone other than Dion who could produce a moment like this in our favour.

Having said that, I do think FGR could probably say they cruised to victory in the main. Particularly in midfield, their passing was far more crisp than ours, and their closing down was far more tenacious than anything we can muster. There was a spell second half where we seemed to be in the ascendency but it was killed by the goal on the break.

I don't really understand the team selection. Rendall once again I thought was very poor. He needs to be limited to being a stopper. As soon as he tries to pass, dribble, or take up attacking positions he causes us so many problems. Either giving it away in bad areas, getting caught wrong side, or a bad touch that leads to him diving in.

Remy had one of his better games for us but ultimately, what end product was there? First half he was neat and tidy with his one touch passing. He attempted a lot of dribbles and crosses. But ultimately none of them caused much danger, several of them ended up behind the goal, and he didn't really beat his man on the outside at any point.

Hill is having a very disappointing season after much promise last year. He seems so nervous on the ball and very easily shrugged off. Rees is also going back to the days where he was largely anonymous. He doesn't get close enough to Umerah most of the time. At times he disappears from the game for 15 mins.

If these new youngsters are the limit of our transfer business we may as well put them in now, because results can hardly get any worse. But either way I think we are in big trouble. When we play ok we lose and when we play badly we lose, and it doesn't show much sign of changing.

I certainly don’t mind you asking because as you can see I use my real name on here.I am not connected to the club in any way apart from lifelong fan and season ticket holder. I hope that answers your question.
