I am listening to James the sporting director on the Mixlr and it is absolutely hilarious

Was he giving the refs hell or just being funny because he has a sense of humor? I turned on the MixLR and did not see the Daggers channel so flipped over to BBC Sport and did not think to try and find another audio feed from the home club.

Great win, wasn’t pretty at the end but we held on and let’s just keep the run going, runs is even more impressive when your whole centre midfield is injured.

Brilliant result despite the number of players missing but great to see Ryan Hill back.

Fantastic win by the sounds of it. These scrappy 1-0 away wins are the sign of a team that can go far up the table, long may it continue.

Great to also have Hill back and it sounds like Hess, Rendall & N’Guessan could be back soon (not that I would remotely consider dropping Phippsy right now). This is what really excites me, as once we have depth in the squad we can really punish teams from our bench. Only 3 substitutes made today, if we could have brought on players like N’Guessan and Rendall too we could have made light work out of seeing out the game. COYFD!

I listened to the game on BBC radio Tees and the local commentary team were very impressed with Dion Pereira. They described his performance as " head and shoulders above every other player on the pitch". Just to say how well the club managed to get him here on a season long loan is just amazing and has to be applauded. The other player that has made an impact recently is Josh Umerah, with his overall performances and also scoring three goals in that time. Long may it continue.

The kind of ugly win that characterises good sides. We showcased a different side of ourselves, in difficult circumstances with the midfield so depleted. Phipps in there has been tremendous, our best performer yesterday for me, while Eastman, Kalambayi and Ling weren't too far off either. It's very nice to be speaking so glowingly about our defence at last and a second clean sheet in three, after only one in 34 beforehand, is huge. Great to see Umerah scoring regularly - took his goal superbly well. There were some hairy moments protecting it, mainly as a few flick-ons fell nicely to necessitate some heroic tackles, yet Justham wasn't overly troubled. We were good value.

Onto Tuesday
