Have to say,yet again some pretty uninspiring
pre season games to/not look forward to.
I know they are games that just have to be done,
and purely to get players fitness ready for the season.
But let’s have a bit of imagination has in the past, tivvy & Taunton weekend, trip to mablethorpe etc
Now it’s always the same teams and the hammers can do one!

These games will also give the players a chance to understand the new rules which came into force yesterday

There's a summary on the BBC website.RayleighDagger1986 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 12:17 pmNew rules. What's changed daggersjeffdaggersjeff wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 11:59 am These games will also give the players a chance to understand the new rules which came into force yesterday
It's mostly small changes that won't make much difference to anything as they relate to things that don't tend to happen that much.
The big ones really are around handball and substituted players having to go off at the nearest point of the pitch rather than the half way line.

Surely raising your arm high in a penalty box and the ball hitting it, via off your body or not has always been a penalty, with VAR or not

Until now it's always had to be deliberate. It is possible for your arm to be high and not deliberately handle the ball.
Even with the new changes, it says it won't be considered handball if it's knocked on to the hand by the player or someone near them.
Got no attachment to the Spurs at all but that was a terrible decision within two minutes of that grand final last night VAR or no VAR! The guy having his arm up probably trying to back his defence back was in this day and age a no brainer but to hit his chest and roll on the TOP of his armpit area should have been overlooked, I know its no consolation to the Spurs camp but just as well the winger made it 2-0 three minutes before time up. as that debate would have carried to beginning of next season. Shocking.
