I see that 2 of the biggest crooks in football gained promotion this weekend, ah well what goes around comes around.

Must say one of the best play off finals I've ever seen and feel for the O's but they can hold their heads with pride they gave it all and demon penalties got the better of them. Four cracking goals especially the second for the Millers to level it and watching public enemy no.1 running like Seb Coe down that sideline all what 20st of him was a bit too much to bear! Have to say though two promotions back to back is something to be proud of and to be fair a nice stadium to fit into the Championship and fair play to their fans who I found pretty friendly bunch last year even though we got a great win there.

Was at the game in my Vincelot t shirt, orient didn't play that well but they were still robbed, 2-0 up and ahead in the shoot out, very unlucky to lose and the fans were rightly gutted. Ex-Daggers update: Thomas useless, Batt a bit useless, Baudry classy but missed his pen, Vincelot grew in to the game and is now a very good player at league one level.

I actually saw him lift the trophy. With my own eyes. I hate myself.

Do you mean Auntie cause of losing Fleetwood on promotion being as a pretty good place for an away day especially attached to Blackpool or the terrible attendance? If regarding the latter, even on Sunday watching the O's on screen in a social club that was quite busy there was only me and a guy from Hackney well eloped in the game everybody else you could have said if it was 5-4 only a par few would watch. Forget about yesterday which was just as much interesting to us, lower league football carries REAL fans!

I meant in the convicted criminal and tax fraudster being promoted. Sadly cheats do prosper.

Yea sadly they do.

The most galling thing of it all was SSN pleasure in showing how he celebrated his promotion with Boston all those years back. Seeing & hearing him deliver that "laps of honour are for champions" speech in the dressing room actually made me feel quite ill.

Disgusting man and hope he continues to eat himself into an early retirement!

He surely shouldn't have been allowed near a Football Club ever again after what he did, convicted Directors are normally banned from running businesses again & so should he have been.

If only someone had a website with all that on....

Despite having read that article dozens of times and knowing it pretty much word for word reading it once more still makes you rile at the staggering nature of the whole business and the paucity of the actions taken by the Football Authorities

To then see Sky Sports News show the old lap of honour footage just makes it worse.

To think that a number of very good hard working professionals were very probably denied a chance to add 'League footballer' to their CV because of it is not forgotten. That was a good team unfairly denied the chance to make history

Has an apology ever been given?

No record of an apology has ever been found despite Evans always trotting out that he has apologised publically, has learned his lesson and is a reformed character these days whenever challenged.

In lots of ways you have to blame the people that keep on employing him, but given that he keeps on "winning", there will always be someone who will take a chance, despite the criminal record, the countless FA charges for everything from abusing match officials to flashing at a female employee of Bradford City (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -fine.html) and the fact that he is a prize kunt of the highest order.

Whenever I get properly wound up about all this I go read the Impstalk Boston United history page (http://www.impstalk.co.uk/rough_guides/history.htm) and remember that he screwed them over as much as he did us in the end.

The b8ggest laugh was when we stuffed them fairly, legally and honestly up there last year.

"Dagenham never had the decency to wear a baraclava or a Ski Mask" where his remarks post match.

Thought at the time would not want his nerve in my tooth.
