Is he going to stay at Centre half ?

Reason I ask is that along with him we had 6 players tonight in our squad that have now played Centre half, all of the other 5 had proved adeqate.

I thought he was going to be a left back and if this is not the case did we really need another Centre half?

From what I've seen he's better than any of the other options. I had the same thought when he lined up there on Saturday, but I've been very impressed.

Never saw Saturdays game so can't comment.

Last night however I thought like others he looked a bit shaky, completely on the wrong side for the penalty and did not look to have much pace and along with the equally placeless NGaley may explain why we did not attempt to defend higher up the pitch. We badly need Scott Doe pace

What I saw of Pennell last night and before he looks a far better Centre half then left back.

Always remember at Bristol Rovers the season before last he started there on his debut at left back and was given the run round. Second half he went to Centre back and looked a very good prospect, both him and Mark Cousins saved us from a Tonking.

It's just something I raised because we appear to have recruited in an area we did not need to.

He seems to swing his hips a lot. He's got a little bit of rhythm but a lot of soul. Jump up? Jump back? He's just going through the motions.
