This is a bit out of character for me but the next two games for me are vital. It's a chance to have a welcome break from the league and we are playing in two competitions which could potentially lead to a glamour 3rd round tie and area final which will be televised. Both of them would prove vital to this club. So for once I think it would be vital on putting your efforts into supporting the team. Any cup run will be good for making the club money and getting some more publicity and support.
I am completely against Burnett being in charge and there's a few a number of players that I'm not happy about playing for us, but for now, we've got what we've got.
And if anyone is to protest, I wouldn't hold it against anyone because I 100% agree with their point. But it just didn't strike me as strong enough. There isn't enough people there and quite frankly the A4 bits of paper were unreadable. You need to do more to make your voices heard. (And before anyone says it, my little incident last year was ridiculous quite frankly but you live and learn from stupid mistakes). This isn't meant as a dig, it's meant as constructive criticism. However like I say, I don't think protests are the right way to go for now.
The next two games

Best thing anyone who wants Burnett out is not to bother attending the next two games, hit Thommo where it really hurts.admin wrote:This is a bit out of character for me but the next two games for me are vital. Ridiculous.Even with the 12 that held up their pieces of paper and the other 5 who didn't dare I still reckon there will beDiggerthedog wrote:Best thing anyone who wants Burnett out is not to bother attending the next two games, hit Thommo where it really hurts.admin wrote:This is a bit out of character for me but the next two games for me are vital. 16-1700 there tomorrow.Theres 7 of us going,3 that dont go quite so often so that'll cancel out DiggertheDog and 2 others. Why don't you just do something else digger ? You keep threatening not to show up.Why not actually "not show up" like the thousands you estimate don't anymore. At least they are "Walking the walk".
Bollix to Shampoo, it's real poo we want !
Thing is though, at this moment of time, it's a big game tomorrow and a game where we need to get behind the team. I understand your point about not giving Tommo any more money but we need to support the lads in our next two games. Also if we got to the 3rd round and played a premier league side, would you still boycott?Diggerthedog wrote:Best thing anyone who wants Burnett out is not to bother attending the next two games, hit Thommo where it really hurts.admin wrote:This is a bit out of character for me but the next two games for me are vital. Of course I would go if that makes me a hypocrite then so be it. We won't win tomorrow so it's irrelevant. The supportes have been getting behind the team for the whole season and they have given nothing back. I won't be at the next few games, might come back if the manager changes it just to say hello to a few people before Xmas.admin wrote:Thing is though, at this moment of time, it's a big game tomorrow and a game where we need to get behind the team. I wish the management and squad could see the passion the fans have for the club, they saw it in Helmond but it never really sunk in for them. Playing for the daggers has become a job when it should be much more than that.

The good thing is against Luton & Basildon, even though the latter were inferior opposition, we saw the midfielders both collaborate with eachother and decipher their duties - mainly due to the inclusion of Labadie & Dunne. We welcome two very good teams within five days, one thriving on a small budget harbouring promotion aspirations whilst the other, Oxford, are also very strong promotion candidates. At one point the latter were even dubbed 'the most attractive team in the country' so both very good tests. Still, with the confidence of a midweek demolition, we can kick on and progress in two more confidence culminating in our places in both Monday's second round draw and next Saturday's (when we are incidentally also playing Morecambe, this time away in the league) JPT Area semi-final draw. If we make the latter, it'll be the furthest we've ever got in the competition in my lifetime. Up the Daggers!

There all important games, let's see what the crowd is and we will see how many are staying away. Be surprised if it's above 1000.admin wrote:I agree with most of what your saying digger but for me, I'll be there tomorrow to support my club in a vital game

I have read on here the board don't care, yet in the last couple of weeks they have allowed the Manager funds to acquire two decent recruits. Wayne said that he had been after Dunne for a long time but it was not possible. Keep hearing that these are the players he selected but I bet some of them were not even his second preference let alone his first.admin wrote:Thing is though, at this moment of time, it's a big game tomorrow and a game where we need to get behind the team. If Dunne was a first preference then you can see already the difference he is going to make. Last week he played 19 year old kids, that was the call not so long ago and he does it and still gets berated.
If we continue to use these young talented but inexperienced kids you are going to have to accept that things
can go pear shaped. One thing I do know is the comtinued atmosphere they are being asked to play in will do them no good.
Fans have every right to voice their opinions but this needs to be done st the right time. Some of the actions of the Club have been a bit stupid. Don't know why they have to take a heavy hand like they appear to have done.
Rember last year with your protest, told you then that we would be OK by the way, they seem to get upset by your pillow case causing a health and safety hazard and blocking out advertisements but had no objections the following week when OXFORD turned up with flags 30 x the size that were being waved not on sticks but on bloody big poles.
Perhsps me and Arnu should produce a Wayne In banner and see what the reaction is, no doubt it would be different.
So let's hope your call to arms at least encourages a few to abandon their protest for 90 minutes lets get behind the team , you don't even have to like the Manager, and hopefully we will get a much needed win that is so important for many reasons.

Oh and before somebody starts bed wetting over the crowd tomorrow ,the last two round one ties we have played at home have not made 1250.
Not the end of the world if we lose on Wednesday but, should we progress, that's more money for the club, more publicity, potential for a game to be shown on sky, a few extra fans coming in (even if they are just glory hunting for one or two games) and a possible day out at Wembley. Surely that can only be a good thing even if only one of those things happen. Like stated earlier, it's also a welcome break from the league, so Wednesday is more important than a lot of fans seem to think.Richie wrote:People getting excited by the JPT always confuses me.
