Re: Graham Taylor and Dimitri Payet

Prick got his own way in the end then. No point in anyone getting excited when a player signs a long term deal at their club anymore. Not worth the paper they are written on. I guess it just protects the clubs from arsehole footballers leaving on a free. It's hardly something new though, or limited...

Re: Tranmere

They won't rest players in the league but that isn't to say that if Lincs get a plum tie in the next round a few of them might 'save themselves' a bit when it comes to tackles and overall effort. Remember how shit we were in the run up to the Charlton game back in 2001?

Re: Graham Taylor and Dimitri Payet

Sure but Assombalonga didn't refuse to play for us and go on strike while taking our money. He earned a move through playing football to the best of his ability and TOWIE obviously rated him. I don't mind anyone moving clubs for more money but there is a way to go about these things and acting like ...

Graham Taylor and Dimitri Payet

I read these two stories back to back this afternoon and thought what an amazing contrast between the two. One story is about a fella that gave everything to football either as a pundit, player or manager and even when the chips were down he always managed a smile and cracked on with it with grace a...

Re: VS Braintree (H)

Solid performance. Much better tonight both up front and at the back. More tempo, urgency and fluidity than at home recently and it paid off. Well done tonight Daggers.

Re: VS Braintree (H)

1-0 to the Daggers. Time to plump up the cushions, make another nice cup of tea and settle back in to the armchair. I haven't seen them win since September so this is the way to do it!

Re: If money was no object

These posts are far too sensible!! I'd spend whatever was needed to buy the club outright and follow the nutty Italian owners model. New manager every 3 months, pick the team and decide the signings and hope for the best. I'd defo put a bar behind the sieve too. And I'd buy the ship and anchor, tur...

Re: If money was no object

History shows that plunging lottery money into a football club at our level is a recipe for disaster. Whatever you put in wouldn't be enough for the fans, you would get dogs abuse over everything you did and worst of all you would be expected to buy a pint for everyone in the bar for risk of being l...

Re: Can't complain about that for a fiver

Sorry - don't agree with this stuff about 'giving it their all' and 'can't fault the effort'. The first 30 minutes we were nowhere to be seen, losing every challenge, giving the ball away cheaply, absolutely no clue what to do when we had possession (see last 5 home games for reference). The ball we...

Pound is crap (and will be for next 3 years at least) because 'we' voted for Brexit.

Kaboom! That should get things stirred up a bit. I'm off!

Re: Worthing FAT 1st Round

I booed at the end because it was what they deserved. Injuries, Tamplin, Still, Thompson, Weather, Transfer Moves - all total bollocks. None of them fancied it yesterday. Looked completely clueless going forward and lazy at the back hence the mistakes. I'm going to struggle to be arsed to turn up ne...

Re: New Consortium

This is probably far more truthful than anyone wants to admit. I would like to understand who is waiting in the wings to do the job that Thompson does on the money he earns and with as much enthusiasm and passion for the club. I don't like Thompson as a person - I find him odious and yes he has made...
