Re: Hang on... two potentially decent strikers??

Well we lost so many points last two seasons simply because we could not put the ball in the net. Looks another promising Signing. Do you ever think we will sign anybody who has neither played for Barnet or Ebsfleet ? Saunders hasn't played for either, but I must admit I didn't quite expect so many...

Re: Paul Macallum

Yep reasons to be pleased with this signing for certain. Not even close to tempted suggesting we will piss the league though. I'm sure Salford thought that but they had to get into a play off lottery to secure it. That said, it's a super opportunity this season. Teams will be cutting their cloth acc...

Re: New 20/21 kit released

I'm okay with it, glad we're back in red and blue, granted that is only if you factor in the short too.

Anyone else seen Chelsea's Nike kit? Would've been fine with this one too!

Re: Retained List Due Soon

Personally, I am not particularly concerned at the lack of signings. I think it's sensible not to start unmitigated spending even if we lose a target or two. At this level there's always someone else. Do we really want to pay people from tomorrow when the season may not start until over 2 months? I ...

Re: Retained List Due Soon

Yep it's very difficult to put together a retained list without some clarity from the owners regarding the level of decline in wage budget. That aside, the goal was to put together a side capable of promotion, if that remained the intention I would go with: Wright - Keep, good squad player who has i...

Re: Luke Guttridge

Apologies if bumping a necropost is a faux pas here like some other places. Presumed Guttridge had retired back in 2017 when he departed us after that disappointing Forest Green play-off defeat, but I was most surprised that at 38 he's just signed for the local team down the road from me, Newton Abb...

Re: Season Closuer Nearer

One idea that could keep those at the top end happy..... Finish the season now via PPG Table, promote Barrow as Champions, but then go ahead with the Play offs. Play offs only take 2 weeks, with the NL one off games system, so only a small window required. Would at least give a deserved chance to a...

Re: Season Closuer Nearer

A complex situation, but the more the NL (and others) dither and indecisively decide to pass the buck to biased participants for a vote, I have no confidence they will find an effective solution. First to be clear. Season is done. No further play should take place, there's not the schedule to fit it...

Re: Shit got real

Awful to hear and unfortunately we are perhaps near, if not already at the point where everyone knows someone who at very least has had life turned upside down by all of this. Down in sleepy Devon we appear to be getting away with it lightly compared to much of the country, but even despite smaller ...

Re: Aldershot (A) Sat 7 Mar

Despite a high scoring round, nobody able to push on with a big score to make significant difference. There has though been another change in the leadership merry-go-round, EssexDagger! returns to the top after a few weeks absense. The league has all the signs of going all the way to the last day. Re: Barrow AFC Update 29.02.2020

Or is the question, why with an unbeaten run and one goal conceded with a back 5 do you suddenly switch to a back 4 and leave out your best left back when you are away to the likely league champions A fair question, but more easily said when we've lost. The manager has been here for a couple months...
