Re: John Still
So he said "I've got to make a living" and then walked off? End of the chat? Highly doubtful, that. But why does he think he'll make money? Who knows. I've heard that it's probably because the best way to make some money, is to spend a bit of money first. And he most probably believes that...

Re: Essex Senior Cup 3rd Round Draw
I'd like to see us put out a decent team for this game. Southend lurking near bottom of league 1 with not a lot to play for, will see this as a bonus competition this year. They put out a good team, will be a decent test of our boys. Wouldn't put any first team players out for this. Why risk injuri...

Re: EGM is set for 17th October
It then raises another question - given that Tamplin's board have to approve any Member / Supporters Club proposed board member, what is to stop them/him continually rejecting all members put forward? What happens then? I'd imagine that to reject an elected representative from the supporters club/m...

I'd expect all of our players to leave him for dust. That man is a human cornish pastyayrisdagger wrote:Anyone remember 2 seasons ago when we played out a 0-0 draw with Luton and Curo kept on out-running McNulty. Hope that will be the same with JMD and Fejiri.

This doesn't make any sense or prove any point at all, in regards to what I said...Woodford Dagger wrote:Wait a second you mean making racist remarks is wrong :o

Re: Chants
I think you lot are deluded to be honest, i bet you are the lot that moan about the atmosphere that there isnt one so dont complain when there is arguably the best atmosphere in a long time. Frankie Raymond said that we drove him on personally and the fact Maguire Drew celebrated infront of us says...

Re: Chants
Woodford Dagger is right, making an atmosphere is going to cause teenagers to invite more mates. However, there are a thousand other songs that can be sung to make an atmosphere. You don't have to call everyone a paedophile, make sex jokes and call yourself/others a **** to make an atmosphere. What ...

Well would that have not been a given? Otherwise surely they would have just been bidding for the name of the club, not the players, other staff, club shop etc.Alan wrote:Yeah, it is surprising. The memorandum also states that the objects of the company include the sale of the company and its assets!

Re: EGM is set for 17th October
Tamplin is lending money to quite a few people. Good luck to the The daggers consortium let's hope the members see through the other nonsense. If you don't get the vote I hope you stay around. It might be hearsay and rumour, but I have been led to believe that if the Easts consortium loses, they wi...

Sorry but like Tamplin or not, looking at those two bids there is only one winner in my eyes. His consortium blows the other out of the water.

Re: New poll on ownership
I'm sure the club managed to work out what his business history is. But as said hundreds of times already by so many people, so many people enter into business and fail at the first few attempts. It's almost as if it's not easy to become a big successful businessman- who knew?

Re: Glenn Tamplin Interview
He's buying the club because he's bored. Sounds like a toy to me Fair enough, I can understand the thinking behind your concern. And I feel that his choice of the word bored is poor. I believe that what he means is that he wants a new challenge. His other business doesn't seem to need babysitting a...

Re: Glenn Tamplin Interview
Any examples of clubs that are rich men's play things turning out OK in the end? (Wide boys done good not Arab/Russian billionaires). Using the term "play things" automatically turns it into something about bad owners. There is nothing to conclusively say that this is a play thing for Tam...

Re: Glenn Tamplin Interview
Glenn now says he does not want a controlling interest 48%, that's fine with me and we obviously need investment and new ideas. If all what he says is true, I have no objection. Get him onboard, one way or another it has to be sorted soon. He may not initially want a controlling interest but what i...
