Re: Season tickets
It was in the 800s, which I believe is 300 plus up on last year! Will it turn out to be a good gamble?

Re: Seabright signs for Torquay
Wonder where he got "enough experience" to go straight in to the team? :D

Re: Chambers returns
I was quite impressed with him . He looked like he wanted to play for us and I was surprised that he wasn't getting games at Cambridge. He appears a better signing then Wayne was and that doesn't look too bad a signing now! :D

Re: Football Rumours
The subject matter certainly got lost with this Murphy "debate". Surely some of you have heard some "football rumours"? Heard our other keeper is not coming from too far up the road!

Re: Catching Up
It's possibly a way of "rewarding" the players for finishing in a healthy position last season. The club must have the funds (maybe a benefactor) to afford the outlay. I would hazard a guess that the outlay is far less then some people may think. Hopefully the players and manager will bene...

Re: Current Squad
Nice post Sussex, hard to disagree with most of it! As for filling the departed players positions, I reckon we will have a few weeks wait for most of them to be occupied. Let's not panic just yet! :D

Re: Good Luck Femi !!
Sorry to see him go. Hopefully we get in a decent replacement. Conners shows glimses of real promise, but also some "rawness" that other teams have exploited. Guess we have to put our faith in Wayne, but I also feel he has a lot to learn especially tactically.

Re: Shrimpy.
Personally I'm delighted Southend are staying put next season. It's great for the club that we will have revenue from a (likely)thousand plus away crowd then a couple of hundred from say Fleetwood (and thats being optimistic). It's also so much easier getting to the away fixture.

Don't think Lewingtons rubbish, but he did play that way on a number of occasions ! :?leewilson wrote:Lewington's rubbish though..................(apparently)matt_drfc wrote:http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... -lewington

Re: Back To Earth
Sliightly off topic, but 9th was about what we could have expected months ago! Forget the "fortunate" results (such as the Oxford reult here) because they stole a win at there place ealier in the season with virtually the last kick of the match. So what could/ should have been two draws en...

Re: Cheltenham tomorrow
Unfortunately the dire fare being served up at the moment will have put a few of us off. I usually use this fixture to spend some time in the Cotswold, but I don't fancy having a damper put on my long weekend!

Re: Luton Town
With the players assembled in the last year at Luton it was surely no surprise they romped the Conference? They couldn't afford to pay compensation for taking JS off our hands, but can afford to pay wages to Benno and others that make our players seem to be part timers (mind you some of them recentl...

Re: Season Tickets 2014/2015
Normally there are a few spaces in the carling at most matches but it does seem to be at least 3 quarters full most of the time. However there is always loads of room in the sieve isn't there. If you said there were say an average 150 empty seats in the carling most of the time you'd make up that mon...

Re: Season Tickets 2014/2015
Maybe seated season ticket holders have already exhibited the fact they can afford it and the terrace numbers are the ones that have dwindled and therefore that's where the efforts have needed to be focused. Sorry Arnu, cannot agree! There is likely to be many reasons people prefer seating. I have ...
