Re: NL: Woking (H) 21 September 2023

I’m planning to go as it means I get to see some Woking friends. Also drop in at Lakeside after the game.

*Puts on hard hat*

Garry Hill is free. He was at one of our recent home games.

Rumour has it, he applied for the job but they went with Peter Taylor. Apparently someone on the board blocked Garry’s appointment.

Re: Is this the worst Dagenham and Redbridge team ever?

6. If we do get another new owner. I hope it is the end of the line for some on the board. Genuine question Merge - if we got another new owner, who on the existing board would you want to keep?! If new owners took over then the whole lot need clearing, if we don't get new owners (and I'm ambivalen...

Re: Is this the worst Dagenham and Redbridge team ever?

Point 3 Merge. If they thought that we were going to do a Wrexham then they need looking at. For a start Wrexham's a one club city, unlike us who not only have West Ham on our doorstep but a plethora of other London sides only a train ride away. Like it or not in terms of support we are at the bott...

Re: Is this the worst Dagenham and Redbridge team ever?

The council own the stadium. They’re not in it for money, no football owner is. They’re not ruthless here as they listen to the current failure of an MD who no doubt recommended the manager. Unlike America You can’t just go around sacking people without paying them. Councils used to own a lot of th...

Re: FA Cup: Bracknell Town (A) 14 October 2023

I'm on holiday so didn't see but unfortunately I'm not that surprised. Not that I think we should have considered this an easy win. Think Bracknell have half decent cup pedigree and seem to remember them giving Ipswich a game for half a game in last year's FA cup. Yes, the commentary team mentioned...

From my position watching on the telly box, we never looked like doing anything aside from one cross.

Re: The Cost of Relegation

After today’s performance, is there anyone who doesn’t think we’ll be in a relegation battle come April if things don’t change?

Re: The Cost of Relegation

You gotta be feckin kidding me, it’s october for christ sake!!!! Early enough to realise that perhaps the budget has been cut too low. Look at our last season in League 2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015–16_Dagenham_%26_Redbridge_F.C._season. Strevens is not the issue. He is the best manager we h...

The Cost of Relegation

Sorry to be the purveyor of doom but it might be useful to gather some information here about the cost of relegation. This is mainly for those who have the ability to invest in the club to see the full impact and realise it isn’t only about the same club playing at a lower level. I’ll start… Confere...

Re: NL: Aldershot Town (A) 30 September 2023

I can’t help but wonder if someone is waiting for Southend to go belly up and then we find ourselves with a few extra players. Wouldn’t be surprised, given the Daggers/John Still connection, if this has already been discussed. I think 4th October is d-day. HMRC need to have been paid in full or the ...

Re: Southend United

So now Martin's knocking back bids, Southend Council have decided against buying Roots Hall for the £4.5m in fear of public backlash and Southend will be in court both the 3rd & 4th of October!!! Also, they only had 13 players for Tuesday night and lets be honest staff wages probably are on hol...
