Re: Nick Wheeler

Wouldn't be surprised if he goes to Billericay. Confirmed... joined them on an 18 month year contract. Same time they've also signed Sanchez Watt, same length contract following a trial. Another very good player at that level, albeit seemingly hasn't done a great deal since leaving Colchester a cou...

Nick Wheeler

Has departed the club, mutual consent. Not surprised, can't feel like he's had an extended opportunity to impress. Which probably isn't surprising given the number of wingers we have, especially with Sparkes now coming into the fray as well. I make no criticism of club or player for his lack of play...

Re: Witham away Essex Senior Cup

For those interested the full time result was 0-4 to the Daggers. Goals scored by White, own goal and two for Okenabirhie. Although not really on our priorities list, glad we've advanced. We have a rather large pool of good players to pick from this season, especially forwards, and these games are a...

Re: Witham away Essex Senior Cup

The playing 11 is:
Moore
Nunn, N'Gala, Agboola, Pennell, Robinson, White, Romain, Sparkes, Bloomfield, Okenabirhie.

I challenge you to make a formation out of that, 3 strikers!

Subs: Chapman, Mongoy, Lee, Gallagher, Bonds

We're currently 1-0 up, Joe White scoring just before the half hour mark

Maidenhead

On Tuesday we finally managed to beat our winless and goalless spell. Question is can we now do the same and win an away game? I believe we should, without question. Maidenhead are currently 11th but I don't expect them to finish any higher than that. I must give them immense credit for managing to ...

Re: Wrexham & Macclesfield

Strange really as I thought the Tranmere boss was going to be toast with the start to the season they had. Credit to them for showing a bit of loyalty to him, however one wonders if one or two teams had pressed on at the start of the season perhaps they would have made a change. As it turns out nobo...

Being a cup game you can almost guarantee in which case that we'll win this one and then fail to win our next away game against Maidenhead!

How would you lineup against Woking?

With the assumption both Kandi and Cheek will be out still for Saturday, and that having been the case for many games up 'til now, we've seemingly tried various systems. The latest was seemingly Ferrier up top, sometimes with Corey further forward to make a front 2. Previously we've obviously also t...

Re: Aldershot..

Cheek, Pennell, both are decent. Where are they? also where was jake howells yesterday? i like him, niggly player reminds me of thurgood. Having just 3 attacking players in yesterdays line up, not right that. Jake came on as a sub yesterday. Many media outlets are regularly getting him confused wit...

Re: Aldershot..

Finally home from the match, the number of road closures they do at night must have increased my journey by 25% tonight! Once again I'm reassured to see that I at least watched the same game as everyone else generally speaking. I think Sussex makes a point that I'm probably in agreement with on Bouc...

Re: Torquay United (H) 26.09.17

Either this league is tougher than it looks this year or just nobody is any good! Dover are top for the sheer fact they managed to grab a late goal at home to Solihull, who we barely scraped a draw against ourselves. Then a smash and grab against bottom side at home. One thing about it though is eac...

Re: Torquay United (H) 26.09.17

Blimey that sounded poor. I'm not surprised that we found it tough but I certainly didn't expect to come away feeling like we've stolen it from them.

Either way, absolutely buzzing with the result. Very important 3 points, but must improve on Tuesday!

Re: Torquay United (H) 26.09.17

I think one thing that works against Torquay (not that my Dad agrees) is that we didn't wipe the floor with Solihull. I just wonder if we had won comfortably there, perhaps there would be the possibility of turning up against another bottom of the league side expecting easily brush them aside again....

Torquay United (H) 26.09.17

Well, this and the away fixture are the first ones I look for on the fixture calendar. I call it the family derby and also the work derby. Made the long drive last season with a Torquay mate/colleague of mine. The drive back felt longer. Unfortunately can't make it this year due to a clash of events...

Re: Solihull Moors..

Can only echo the posts above me. Wasn't a good performance. Solihull work hard but we didn't exactly make it very difficult for them to defend. Plus particularly in the first half when Solihull attacked, they looked threatening, especially down our right side (yes, right and not left - believe it o...
