Matt Jones gets an OBE for services to education.
Surprised it wasn’t for taking superb corners, well done Matt.

Re: Southend
Thought that both teams were pretty poor first half (I think Jones’ first 45 mins may have been the worst I’ve seen from a Daggers player), we turned it on for 15 mins after half time to put it out of sight, then decided that was that and knocked it around for the rest of the game without any real a...

Re: New Southend management team
Yes, should be interesting. However apart from Darren Currie who always seemed to do his best. Kevin Maher was always injured and Mark Bentley never lived up to his potential and was one of the worst players ever to put on our shirt. Cannot see all three lasting the course. For God's sake, let's ho...

Re: Contract Extensions
Giving out contracts of that length at this level is madness.

Re: Contract Extensions
Is it sensible to hand out 3 year contracts at this level, regardless of how good the player is?

Re: RIP Ted Hardy
Came back in 96 and saved us with a team that should never have stayed up, let alone challenged at the top. That trophy run was so much fun and I loved the teams he put together.
A true great. RIP Ted

Was a great help in the early days when my Dad & I started the Original Unofficial Daggers site back in 1997.
Had some fun pre-season tours down in the West Country with him too.
RIP Simmo.

Fairly sure that was against (Champions elect) Macclesfield in the 95/96 season when we were relegated, despite the resurgence when Ted came back.

Re: M-m-m-my Corona
Hope everyone is keeping well in what is a very odd time to be alive. I'm in my first year of A Levels at the minute and my college is closed now as per government guidelines. Got to try and keep busy as a painfully dull few weeks and months await. Take it as an opportunity to learn new skills/impr...
