Re: Stadium
I believe the Pondfield Road Stand (all other names being temporary) is actually 1,240. The Main stand (Carling) is indeed 800 seats (or was when it was built, I think some extras have been "nailed on" here and there since along the front, but it won't be a lot more than that. The "Ma...

Re: League 2 Groundsman of the year
I had exactly the same thought after that came out. The pitch at Victoria Road has been fabulous this season, and survived a lot of water on it on more than one occassion.
No mention for Newport County I see.

Re: One Game Left
It won't be white. Nightmare to keep clean ;) We should go for retro kits based on the founding clubs. Either an Ilford style blue and white hoops, or Walthamstow Avenue, light and dark blue hoops. For the next home kit, I am still waiting for the Dagenham FC "Middleboro" style hoop from 1...

Re: Still on the BBC....
That makes some interesting reading, I must have missed it while I was on holiday or something. So John is saying he was undermined by the board selling Dwight Gayle out from under him, and Tommo is saying John was consulted every step of the way and they even discussed what might happen if Dwight w...

An interesting read on John Still and Luton.
Has he ever said before directly that it was the Dwight Gayle sale that made him leave or have I just missed that up to now?

Re: Luton Town
I won't boo, JS did great things at the Daggers and for the club, and I'll even give the man a round of applause, even though the way he left was, frankly, disgraceful from someone that had traded so much on the Daggers being "his" club. Then I hope we rip Luton to shreds on the pitch... a...

When football drives you mad
So, last night's Arsenal v Wet Spam game. Matt Jarvis gets clearly fouled in the area but just about stays on his feet before getting the ball across the area (late swing of the boot on the knee after knicking the ball past Sagna) and the attack fizzling out. Nothing given. Had Jarvis gone down its ...

Re: Pompey
I'm still struggling to work out how our record attendance is a shade over 6000; there's barely room to move in the Sieve when we get 3K in! Record is 5,949, home v Ipswich in the FA Cup 3rd Round, 2002. It was "snug" to say the least. http://www.fansfocus.net/dagenhamandredbridge/index.a...

Re: Scrap "Remembrance" at football.
I'm alright with it. I really feel so emotional about Hillsborough and particularly what the families have gone through over the past 25 years. Even more so the real truths have emerged. Whenever someone mentions Hillsborough, I am back at the game on 15th April 1989, Hayes v Leytonstone Ilford, an...
