Forum Services / Jobs

Post by Auntie Merge » Sat Aug 15, 2015 9:35 am

I was wondering if it would be a good idea if we had a thread of the services provided by those on the forum? I know quite a few people on here are self-employed/freelance and it could be an useful source of finding a tradesman from the Daggers family. Obviously people who post in their services in this thread need to be regular users of the forum, and it shouldn't be just a dumping place for people to register and advertise.

For example, at the moment I need a handyman to come and fix some twin-slot shelving and pictures for me (Redbridge area) and it would be good to source a professional/insured person from the Daggers fans.

Bumping this thread. I don't need any work done at the moment, but as mentioned in the original post, I think it would be a good idea for regular users of this forum who are tradesmen to post what work they can do. This works very well on another forum I'm on, and it would be great if it could work here.

Good idea Auntie and I'd like to 'semi start' the ball rolling, fellow daggers who know me quite well know I'm a self-employed decorator being 61 with just about 40 years service in this game and based North of the river doing domestic work in and out with paperhanging skills to match. Take pride in my work and don't venture Essex much other than Dags of course, but for the first time winter was a bit 'tighter' last time round and actually would take pleasure on doing a service to my fellow mates/fans, albeit the M25/wouldn't be fun but certainly tea break would be plenty to bunny about though and trying to put the world right. Just not sure if its the best way putting up mobile number on the forum maybe Thommo etc could let us card out club shop?

Is a cracking idea, I may well require a fare few jobs to be done over the next 6-12 months, so I'll be back here looking for people to contact!

Now that I am here though.

How easy is it to open up a bricked up fireplace in first floor maisonette? and any idea of the cost?
