Ollie Palmer signed for Wrexham yesterday afternoon from afc Wimbledon and scored the winner last night. On the womble official website they say that the fee was £300,000 and the player wanted to go and that they could not match what Wrexham were offering the player. He he gone from league 1 to our division, it's a crazy world!

Ah, the romance of sport.

They’ve also now signed McFadzean from Crewe, another dropping 2 divisions.

Let's just face it.
We are unable to compete at this level when we have clubs like Wrexham spending the type of money they are on players. It does not matter if we go out and get two or three centre half's, its just that the quality of Wrexham n Stockport make those signings pointless. Might put us in the play-offs but they are miles ahead.

And Barrow! If we don’t go up this year I’d like to see Stockport and Wrexham go up so we don’t have to deal with them next season. We’re bankrolled but not to ridiculous levels of one player costing best part of £1m over 3 and a half years.

Yes, I note Barrow and Sutton but was the competition less weaker than this season. I do believe it is. Sutton had an advantage, a plastic pitch!

Yeah I don’t think for the slightest second that Wrexham are approaching this league in the best way to win things. But if we don’t go up I hope they do, as personally I am just bored of the sideshow around that club. It reminds me of Notts County’s antics around the time we went up to League 1. Hopefully they go the same way.

And another one - they’ve signed O’Connor from Burton who has played 21 games for the league 1 side with 5 league goals from midfield.

They’ve spent over a million on transfer fees since the summer, god knows how much in wages they’re paying. Praying they go up as you just can’t compete with that outlay regardless of who the manager is.
