My favourite recollection of playing Forest Green goes back quite some time ago. All from memory and without the aid of Google, I believe it was our 1st season back in the conference.

They Had Nigel Spink in goal and Tony Daley playing for them back then.

Anyway, away from home and 3 Nil down at Half Time but we’d played really well and I recall going back into their Club House at Half Time adamant we could not just get back into the game but win it – such was the manner of our performance.

Anyway, we came racing out of the traps and sure enough we not only got back the 3 goals but went on to take the lead 3-4.

In true typical Daggers fashion, we conceded what I think was a last gasp equaliser – which probably ended up giving a fair end result. Exhilarating game and I think was the start of the FGR/D&R annual love in.

Here’s hoping for a more decisive result (in our favour) tonight!!!
