In answer to your question on Saturday. Yes you can print from iPad.
You will of course need:
1) Wireless Enabled Printer
2) Said printer connected wirelessly to router
3) Software with print functionality
If you have all of the above, you should be able to select the print function, locate and select your printer in the software and print.

Thanks Penfold. I have a 4 yr old Dell wiFi printer which works perfectly with my laptop but not the IPad.
I have visited various websites, forums and apple support and it seems that not all aged WiFi printers support AirPrint.
Most recent printers will be compatable.
I'll wait until I upgrade my Printer.
