So for all you cricket fans, Upminster CC will be hosting their Annual Benefit Cricket Match against an Essex CCC XI on Sunday 7th September. This year's match is in aid of England Captain Alastair Cook's Benefit Year, so we are expecting a bumper crowd.

The game will begin at 2.00pm, and is a 30 overs per side contest. Entry to the match is by programme, priced at £2.50, and available from Monday from various businesses in Upminster.

There will be a Beer Tent, BBQ, tea tent and ice cream van, as well as face paining for the kids and a raffle.

Should be a great afternoon, would be good to see a few Daggers fans in attendance.

Just giving this a bump up the board (sorry mods).

So programmes now on sale (from today) in Upminster from Gates Parish & Co, Batemans Newsagents, Kingcotts Bakery, Govani Chemists, and the Alishan Tandoori. Priced £2.50, 48 pages, and full colour. Don't worry if you can't get one before day, they will be available on the gate.

Should be a great day (fingers crossed for the weather). Beer tent, BBQ, tea tent, ice cream van, raffle, face painting and autograph opportunities for the kids.

I know a number of Daggers fans who have come over to watch in the past and who are intending to attend again this Year, so be great to see some of you there.

Great to see so many Daggers fans in attendance yesterday, including of course, Daggers legend Steve Thompson!!! Ex manager John Still was also spotted!!!

Was great day, and Alastair Cook was superb throughout the day, signing 100s of autographs and posing for 100s of photos.
